I’m so sad her life has been this crazy having being bullied to reaching 50 without hearing her parents say “I love you.”. I don’t want to be selfish but I want her to get married and meet a man who truly cares for her or at least for her to surround herself with a lot of people who care and love for her. i agree with you except for the mother part, yes having someone can be really great but having children shouldn't be considered as a normality or something obvious either. Saying smth like she would make an amazing mother can be seen as disrespectful and ignorant if you don't even know if this person even wants kids (or if she can in the first place, which can be even more hurtful for this person (little reminder that yeongja is currently 50)) because a lot of people are often wrongly judged for that choice. But it's all fine since you probably didn't mean it like that, i just think it's important to be aware of that, especially nowadays.

When yeongja started talking about her story I really cried so hard!! Because I feel her I didn't feel the love we should have felt from my dad ... I'm only 18 but I have experienced a lot. Lots of fights and hardships me and my mother brother and sisters felt As I grew up I didn't hear I love you from my dad ..... that is so sad and it's heartbreaking but I'm lucky to be filled with love by my mom because she is my mom and dad haha..so I'm thankful to her !!! I hope that you are and that you will be okay ❤! I experienced a lot, and I am almost 18 now. My dad drinked a lot in past, he was horrible, me, my mom and my younger sister once escaped home in night, I was about five. I know that now it's better and he loves me but I will not forget how scared I was, or how many times I cried ;-;. I wish you the best! You are strong and you survived a lot ❤! Be healthy, be happy and don't cry again ❤!!!

The amount i relate too yeongja unnie her every word resonates my feelings. My friends never understand this part of me bcs most are introverts so they were okay with their parents not saying anything . But fir me I literally feel That my mom just loves me when I am good at studies apart for it I have no existence . My mom never asked me how you are are u fine she never hugged me even when I was crying . I am 18 but I have never heard my mom say " it's okay I am there for you " Never.And being a single child just makes my situation even worse . But sometimes I really feel that it's okay or my sister/brother would have to face the same thing .

I was raised with so much love but now that I'm grown up I miss my Dad's love.when I see daughters with their father, loved by their father my heart hurts. I feel jealous. I can kind of relate to the man in the first concern. I almost always feel like I should drink something. The thing is that I really don't. I probably drink way more than most people, although I drink less nowadays. I used to drink maybe as much as he did, possibly more some days, but I'm guessing my average was around 3-4 litre. These days it's more like 2-3, but closer to 2. Some people find it burdensome to drink, but I really don't. 5 glasses of water in one go, no big deal. The problem is that afterward I'll have to pee 2-4 times within a short time period just because of... let's say processing taking some time and the bladder only being able to hold so much. Still, at night, I drink one glass of water at most, and I actually opt for solids simply due to the fact that having to go up and pee sucks, but I suffer from insomnia, so needing to disrupt that rest is kind of dumb. He should control his drinking a bit more, and also not drinking things such as plum juice at night, because damn, that gets your system going. In fact, he should go for a half glass of water, then just try to sleep. Oh, and just as a final note that I forgot to mention; drinking too much is dangerous for your health. Water poisoning/intoxication can potentially kill you, although only in rare cases. However, it is not good for your health and should be avoided. If you drink about 1 litre of water each day, you're probably fine. You get some water through the food you eat as well. Please take care of your health.

Cottidae too me it sounds like he might have diabetes. With hin drinking so many beverages most are probably high in sugar. Surprised they didnt mention it. Anyways as for drinking water. I drink atleast 2 litres a day. Its a habit ive had for a long time.

Yeah, it's possible, but I don't see any particular signs of diabetes. Many pee often and feel dehydrated, but since he drinks so much, it's kind of hard to point out a cause. A beverage with more sugar makes you pee more often as well. Regarding drinking water, both you and I probably drink more water than we actually need. Thankfully not in unhealthy amounts.

I can totally relate to Yeongja cs my parents divorced when I was quite young and also to that girl because my dad had temper issues and that lack of attention and love did create a stronger bond between us siblings but because of that habit of suppressing my feelings I still struggle to understand my own feelings and express them. It can be difficult finding people who understand why you don't speak your mind and that effects our relationship. For anyone who has been through the same things trust me you are not alone and you don't have to act strong all the time. It's okay to give yourself a break and let the tears out.

the dad that doesnt talk: undiagnosed autism with self developed coping meganisms. I recognize it from my own dad. (he got diagnosed at age 73 after I asked my own autism counseler to come a couple times to talk to him). We have a couple people with undiagnosed autism in my dad's side of the family and kids that came from them. The thing is, without a good guiding hand, in a society focused on 'be normal, work hard and do what you must', you get wrong coping meganism.

If you really think about it...the more he drinks beverages the more dehydrated he's going to get. That must explain why he won't stop drinking them. He thinks they will hydrate him but its actually having the opposite effect. If he wants to stay hydrated he should just drink water.

I wonder if the father in the last concern had a very strict upbringing. When I listened to the concern it reminded me of myself. I grew up in a big family but was felt left out a lot because my siblings were older than me and my parents and siblings were pretty strict while I was growing up. I ended up developing selective mutism so it's hard for me (many times I am literally unable) to talk in certain situations. It's a disorder related to anxiety. Even now I am an adult but I still am non-verbal in some situations. I believe part of it, for me, has to do with the fact that I am scared to say anything that might be against what the other person thinks. Like the scenario where the daughter asked if he wanted jjajangmyeon or jjamppong; if for example I didn't want either, I have gotten into the habit of not saying anything because I don't want to upset the person talking to me. I think if you have grown in an Asian household like me it is easier to understand, because you're expected to do as what your elders say. I understand the family's concern but I hope they are able to fully communicate with each other to work it out because it seems like the problem is rooted deeply in some psychological issue that he has never resolved.
