She is a genius. It's not easy to sing in 18 languages. Even when given in written. A great talent . Somewhere she has conveyed the monopoly of the two sisters in women playback. Also see another of guftgoo of a male singer who tells that the sister duo used to leave the movie where even one song was to be sung by someone else. We know if there greatness but every body has a dark side.

My tayaaji used to tell us that Ushaji used to sing in a night club called Talk of the town in Mumbai and the audience came especially to listen to her. She has such a powerful voice.

Usha Uthap a true human being I ever come to know about . Despite being a great singer she has no ego to appreciate other singers may be youner or older to her . That is really a godly quality . One more best quality of hers is whatever song she may be singing sexy or otherwise she does'nt need to present herself in modern tasteless attires but she is d perfect symbol of traditional Indian Woman .In short she is a most adorable singer as well as a humble human being whom I respect n love so much .

You totally let them open up, unlike many other similar shows where the host just do all the talking and the guest just nod their head! I loved it when she says, "yehi toh hai hamara zamana." I have always believed as long as you live-whether you are a child, young adult, middle aged adult, older adult- it's all your zamana. I don't identify with this South Asian belief- of "Humare zamaaney main" being referred to only youth! Jab tak hai jaan, tab tak rahega ham sabka zamana. A good singer and a good interviewer. Thanks for this episode!

And her voice is surely one of those beautiful deep voices i can listen all day. Apart from her singing talent, i have notice she s a very positive person as well.
