I have watched games with my football fan-riddled family my whole life (I'm 32 next month), always enjoying the culture and the energy of the players and spectators, but struggling with a huge sense of imposter syndrome since I didn't actually understand what was happening. I knew what a touchdown was, which direction our team was meant to travel, and where the QB stood in the lineup, buuuuut that was honestly about it til today. Thank you so much for putting all this into very plain English in a way that my mind could digest without watering or dumbing it down too much. I expect I'll feel much more capable cheering along with my family now 😁

A td is always 6 7 is after a PAT and 8 is after the 2pt conversion

This is by far the greatest explanation of the rules of football i have found, and, of course, it's not a video by hardcore football bros or a video by the Official NFL youtube channel.

same boat here, my bf really likes watching football but I feel very lost when it comes to most sports. I think if I could understand what's going on I may actually enjoy watching.

At the beginning of the game, in a super pumped up way, yell, WIDE RECEIVERS, DEFENSE, BLITZES, SPECIAL TEAMS, MIX AND RUNS FOR 200 YARDS! COUNT IT! BANK IT!! He’ll think you know more about the game than he does.😂

I'm hypersensitive to certain vocal styles, so your crackly, voice fry over that loud and tinkly music was annoying and distracting. That said, I was able to decipher a better understanding of the game, so for that, thank you very much.

Next time please upload the videos with less to no music and less vocal fry! Jesus Christ! I wish there's an indian guy explaining this like tech/IT videos (lol)!
