If you messed something up they probably would have sent you a denial by now. You're probably waiting for the FBI to complete the background check, which could take a couple more months.

Great info video👍🏽 Seriously thinkin about sbr’ing my Galil Ace 8.3 pistol. Kinda tired of this iwi brace that came with it. Have every upgrade except for the “stock” and have been waiting for almost 10 months for my suppressors to get approved. Thats why i am so hesitant on doing the whole sbr thing.

Question. A month or so ago I filed paperwork for a suppressor and also set up a trust.. my trust and stamp for suppressor are both submitted for review.. in the meantime, I’m building a SBR. I wanted to know if I can still file a EForm even tho my trust and tax stamp for suppressor are still being reviewed.. like if I go to do the eForm 1, do I use the trust I have submitted even tho it hasn’t been approved yet? Or should I wait until my trust and tax stamp for suppressor have been approved before doing the eForm? I filed through SilencerShop, not eForm. So I just wonder if it will mess anything up if I file a eForm 1 for SBR... any help would be appreciated. Until I do this, I can’t finish the build.. :/

Questions about the 5320.23 form. There are two copies on the form but I am only able to put info on the first copy. Is this OK? Second, I cannot sign the digital copy, is this OK to leave blank or do I need to print the form, sign it and then scan it. The 5320.23 is my biggest problem so far.

You're very welcome! With the 922R stuff, it's on the honors system. There's really no place to put it in or let the ATF know. There aren't any 922R police inspecting guns either.... It's just assumed you're doing the right thing.

Capitol Armory Thx. So for the country it’s manufactured in, since I’ve swapped out the parts, would you think I put in US or Turkey? The obvious concern is if I put Turkey with no explanation it will get kicked out. Thx again.

@@peterjohnston1369 If it's made in Turkey, you can just put Turkey. (Basically, you want to match whatever is engraved onto the receiver.) If it's a Turkish gun and you put US, then it has a really high likelihood to get rejected. Swapping out parts don't matter so much as the form matching the receiver's markings.

Ugh this should not be so confusing. I want to do something that IMO is so simple. I have an existing 16" AR-15. I want to order a 11" upper and put that on my lower to make an SBR. 1.) I'm assuming I do all my paperwork first, then when it's OK'd I can order the upper? If so, how do I measure the overall length without having the shorty upper on my lower? 2.) Do I need to do a Form 1? Form 4? Both? 3.) I'm assuming I need to do the engraving on the upper when I get it? Is what I need to put on it the following?: My Trust name, City/State Any help would be greatly appreciated!

But what happens if say you’re creating your own suppressor? Do you make up your own manufacture marks?

Yes, you choose the serial number. Once approved you engrave the SN, manufacturer and place of manufacture on the can, the requirement is .003 deep. Look for someplace local that does laser engraving.

Between instantly and a few days depending on if they have the information in their system. It's a lot faster than 3 weeks, I would contact the NFA branch on that one.

My trust was over 5mb and I'm guessing I won't be the only one with this issue. ATF recommends to split the PDF into 3 separate files and then add each file to the Electronic Documentation section with "TRUST NAME_1of3"... just FYI.

When I did the Silencer Shop Form 1 before eForms were available, I put the manufacturer of the lower receiver for all of that information and that seemed to be what they wanted. The manufacturer of the SBR itself would obviously be who or whatever you're identifying yourself as(individual, trust, corporation, etc.) in this application.

I believe it has to be 1 specific caliber. You’re supposed to notify the ATF if there’s any changes made to the weapon.

Mail two completed finger print cards to the address sent to you in the cover letter. They do not have to be done by a LEO so you can roll your own.

Form 1 is for building, purchasing is another form.

You would, as the whole NFA process revolves around registry for specific serial numbers. There's no way to get an approved item and serial on the registry without said serial number.

What about the 41F Amendment form? Should this be included as a part of your Trust upload or uploaded as a separate document? My trust has a Trustee & Co-Trustee if that matters.

You are one of the responsible parties. Your title will differentiate you from someone being entered as a trust.

That one was pretty close to instantly. If it's been 3 weeks you're probably already going to have that form rejected and have to start over (as the prints didn't get there fast enough.)

Jason Wagner yeah i never seen a popup on mine saying payment processed, then after payment i hit the submit button and it a window pops up wanting my password, so i put the same login password and if wouldn’t accept it. At that point i had to leave and thought the payment didn’t get thru and i checked my email 1hr later and it said payment accepted. At this point IDK if they got all the needed info or not, i might try to call them tomorrow.

Before that in the preform checklist, the first thing is to "ATF EFORMS ACCOUNT (eforms.atf.gov)" You would just need to go there and register for their system.

Register for the account requires a user name using your 1st initial and the 1st 5 letters of your last name. My last name only has 4 letters so it wont let me register. Our bureaucrats at work.
