These trials are honestly killing the game for a lot of people. Having to come back when you're 15 levels above the content, or relying on RNG, or being extra punished as melee (first trial with honour system) doesn't feel fun whatsoever, and especially when it is gatelocking you from getting your ascendancies which felt like such a cool thing before playing the game but now feels like they barely give you anything until your build is complete...

Yeah this trial officially ended my playthrough. What a waste of fucking time. I could spend hours and hours mindlessly grinding through boring procedurally generated maps to level up in hopes of finally beating it, or I could go play an old game on my to do list like Metal Gear Solid 5.

These are designed so, so poorly. The developers should be made to complete a melee ascendancy with only the AoE/orb/projectile options that try to kill you every 5-10 seconds. It's not hard, it's tedious and way overtuned. The expanding aoe that does physical literally makes the escort mission take ages, it's excruciatingly slow having to run a full screen away and wait every 10 seconds, and that's just to push the stupid crystal. WHO THOUGHT OF THIS?

If you're struggling with this Trial during your 2nd Ascendancy then I would suggest skipping them until you're finished with Act 1 on Cruelty. Yes, the points are important, but the power spike you'll see going into Act 1 Cruelty isn't really bad enough that these two points are going to make a big difference. Don't bang your head against the wall. Go back at the end of Act 1 once you've beaten the Count and the Trials will be painless. Then those two points towards your Ascendancy will feel like a super boost along with all the powering up you've done through Act 1 Cruelty. Perhaps you're even starting to get level 13 Skill Gems at this point, which really start to change people's characters.

It can depend a lot on which afflictions you choose each round, and how high level you are; I think its achieveable at level 40 and becomes easy at level 50

It's an incredibly unbalanced challenge, if you are unlucky it is impossible (and Uxmal boss is so badly designed its almost laughable), but with lucky RNG (like in this video) its super easy.

This is a lot harder than the first Ascendancy, actually almost died. However, this was my first try ever on Trial of Chaos on HCSSF and I lived. I even got the Tornado bird. Just make sure you're DPS is like 1000. I also had Grim Feast with about 4-5k Energy Shield 👍 yay.

Probably not his first character. Much easier to stockpile godroll or near-godroll pieces for Lv50 when you have a Lv70+ char

Except it's not for full ascendency you have to do 3 rounds of 10 trials with 3 bosses in each trial until you finally can fight trial master for ascendency I hated lab in poe 1 and now I miss it lmao, and no you can't you have to do it in one shot, it's still better than 4 floors of sanctum though

The modifiers and boss are cancer. You can get impossible to survive modifiers and ur dead. Even if you reach the boss ,getting 1 shot by a random tornado attack that covers more than half of the screen and has a 0.5 sec wind up is crazy

My problem with him is the bird swoops up then slams into the ground pointblank on me and instantly spawns the tornado -- it essentially deletes me instantly even with capped resists and a lightning charm. I have 20% runspeed as well. I don't understand what they expect me to do when I'm dead before I can even roll out and pop a potion. Less than a second from full life and ES to dead.

Stage 2 is 4/10. But it’s determined by the Token you put at the start. If you buy it from the market you might be buying a high level one with 10/10 trials. So make sure to check

I feel like ToS are easier for range characters, and ToT are made for more tanky close combat characters. Trials of Sekham was quite easy for me, as I play mage with lot of CC, so avoiding damage was not that hard. But trials of terror are super hard for me as you ofter are put straight into bunch of enemies.

I went in my 2nd time to the boss thankfully receiving less bad modifiers but unfortunately I got him to half not realizing that the pyramid laser sits there the ENTIRE fight; think I ran out of flasks which killed me. I’ll try again tomorrow but it entirely depends on which modifiers you get which is super annoying but thematically it’s cool I guess

Jeez this trial was much harder than trial 1 lol. Went in blind last night and need to level a little. So many crying its yoo hard or ruining the game though. Its the first week of the game! If you want to rush everything itll be a challenge! Come back to ut later its not like you NEED to do it to progress the game.

I am struggling with this trial way more than I did with Sekemahs. I just played slow in sekehmas, pulling small packs to limit the damage I was taking and was good. Took like 4 tries. The debuffs on the chaos trials are insane and I'm running over and over again hoping I'll get the more manageable ones.

First time playing any game like POE2 and honestly until getting to act 3 I really enjoyed it. I feel like it’s a race to meta builds and lucky RNG in late game. Maybe I’m stupid but again first time playing a game like this ever, it’s not friendly to new players and boring af if I have to play like everyone else to complete a dumbass trail to even level up my character. Every video or post I’ve seen it’s high level characters with crazy ass builds. I don’t want to log in to trade website or do homework, I just want to play.
