Something I have had on and off in the past bro. Kind of feel comfortable with a local government job so haven't had it for a few years now but can see some benefits.

If you have an existing policy but need to increase the benefit amount due to pay rise, will it count as taking out a new policy?

Good question mate and I'm not sure there is a universal answer... each insurer may treat this differently. Best to contact your insurance provider and ask directly. If you can do the increase before 1 October then that's the safest way 👍
