Without a doubt the best year of GL I ever saw! ❤ The writing was insanely perfect! Reva was long gone, and everyone was getting a piece of the pie!

For a stretch from late 1989 to mid-1994, and especially 1991-1993, GL wasn't merely the best soap opera. It was the best show on all of television. The writing, the acting--nothing else even came close to what they were doing, day-in, day-out. The return of Roger and Holly was a big reason why, but it seems like nearly every major character had a great storyline during this time. Even the seeming "minor" characters like Lillian, Bill and Michele got incorporated into huge stories. Thank you, Nancy Curlee, for the incredible writing that not only entertained the hell out of us, but gave so many talented people a chance to shine.

Yes GLs best years were early 90s. 91-92 the best. Something did happen in 94 where it was not as good.

Incredible job. Work of art. Loved the background music. Spot-on. Loved the Holly, Roger, Daniel story. The entire show was firing on all-cylinders. Thx for the upload.

Remember when she stripped buck nekkid at the height of the lightning storm? Ross mentioned later that he had never seen a nude woman only lit by lightning. The picture he drew with those words still linger with me today.

The Fantasy Sequence with Ross was brilliant. The UK has done some hilarious Shows like that. A Couple of years ago The Actors from Coronation Street & Eastenders did a Soap Swap where they visited each other's Soap Towns and they compared notes on how their lives are. Then The Ghosts of Ian Beale showed Ian and how he woke up in an Alternative Environment. He saw his Wife Cindy & his Mother Kathy who are both "Dead". Kathy wasn't, she was in hiding in South Africa. He saw Pat Butcher who is also dead and he got a Letter fro his Daughter Lucy apologizing for being so bad before she got killed.

This show ROCKED!! It really BLEW me away when Beverley McKenzie walked away Because she was getting some of the best material she ever had on the show, she was killing it. I know her son was about 2-3 years gone from the show and it had alot to do with her leaving. But I really wish she had stayed !

I really can’t express how Bummed I was when I read she was leaving! Everything was going so great on that show it just blew my mind. Compared to the garbage they were giving her just 2 short years ago to the riveting stuff she was doing at this time. Again it truly was a shame.

This was a great year for GL the cast was crazy awesome the writing was even crazier. I guess TPTB didn’t realize what great actors they had wasting all that time on Reva and her bullshit 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm in mid 1990 right now and it's pretty good but 92 looks even better. So Dr. Daniel is going to turn bad? 1990 is when he first shows up in Springfield to break up Dylan and Sam. The hair and clothes look a lot better too. I remember being so upset when Mindy left. Nick was heartbroken💔💔

Bridget did not cause the blackout. One blow dryer would not blow out a whole city, lol. Maybe you didn't notice how she was SWEATING? The whole town was cranking their fans and A/C, at once. THAT would do it.
