I tuned in less often to the show after 2004 and stopped watching altogether when big budget cuts led to that awful format change. This helped fill in the gaps a lot! Thanks.

Great job on this video Spauldingfield. I've been watching Harley for years and started watching GL from 1991 and I'm currently on August of the year. It is where Harley wants to become a cop and her love/hate story begins with Mallet. Although, it seems to me that they were trying to put Mallet and Mindy together before Nick came to town. I started watching Guiding Light with my Ma in the Summers while we were on Summer Break. Until This BEST SOAP of mine was over I never missed it. Watching these Actors\Actresses on my Mobile Phone has brought them back so REAL like it's still on T.V. + as though none of them has DIED in real life. I LOVE these SOAPS more than Movies😍 I also watched: As The World Turns, Search For Tomorrow, All My Children, The Bold & The Beautiful, The Young & The Restless. Etc. But Guiding Light WAS my Favorite SOAP OPERA ❗❗❗

I love when Harley got arrested for speeding and Gus had to delivery Jude in the jail cell, and when they go investigate Tory and they set fire to there hotel room. Then Gus's face when he see Tory shine to Ross.

Nicole Ackerman it seems that they didn’t know what to do with the character. If Gus hadn’t died maybe they would have gotten back together. I didn’t really watch Guiding Light until it was close to ending but I did watch old episodes on KZbin. Gus and Harley has amazing chemistry. They should have never put her with Philip. They should have kept Harley with Gus and shipped Daisy back to where she came from. I never got the appeal of that character. It seems almost every kid who was given up for adoption and then comes back to connect with their birth parents were always a mess.

@@shavonneholmes5203 Argee Phillip and Harley were horriable he is such a control freak I could never be with someone like him. Oh and Daisy should been older then Marina when she came back though I feel she should have never comeback because of the way both her adopted parents died. If they wanted a teenage girl they could have Sorased Maureen or Clarissa, they could have had wrote that Dylan and Bridgett had a kid or that Alan Michael and Lucy had a kid, or even have it turn out that Abby was pregnant when she left Rick and she was looking for her father. Though that would be out of character for Abby. All of those would be better then the rewrite they did with Daisy. Oh and I remember hearing a rumor that the actress who played Harley left the show because they killed off Gus, since she was supposedly promised they would get back together.

Michael Guerrieri I never understood why she left town without her kids and that her house was under construction and she couldn't pay her bills. She was married to 3 Spauldings so she could have made bank from that.

@@angelmarie2281 She got a "Settlement" but probably squandered it. Also keep in mind that she and Gus never lived off of the Spaulding Money, they knew that if they took anything from Spaulding it would be at a high price. Sadly enough, if Phillip had gotten those E-Mails from Beth that Alan had "Erased", he wouldn't have looked twice at Harley. I really hated how they took her character. Being too lenient and nice to Daisy because of her guilt, then leaving town, then her nor Dylan not giving Daisy any discipline or structure. Isn't it eerie to know she was married to Alan Michael Spaulding whose Mother is a Bauer then she has Jude by a Bauer. Now Jude is forever linked To Robby & Hope Santos not to mention "Big Sister" Leah. I really do feel that Buzz & Nadine leaving them as children affected them.

@@laminage Yes. That is so messed up how Buzz and Nadine just abandoned Frank and Harley. I came to like Buzz (because Justin Deas makes Buzz so likable.) I started watching GL regularly with my mom a little after the Marian Crane story so I never saw Nadine enough to form an opinion about her personally. It had to have affected them in some way. Frank and Eleni's marriage was doomed even though from what little clips I saw of Melina and Frank they were amazing. I never got why Susan went by Daisy after years of going by Susan but I also will never understand them freezing the character in time so they can redo her teen years. She would be near Lizzie's SORAS age if they kept her. This show confused me at time towards the end. Still love it but it confused me. Haha.
