The jump at 2:47 seems to have changed a bit. For everyone who is slowly losing their sanity at the spinning/leaping wheels at the end of the puzzle; Swapping weapon mid-air seems to stop the leap somewhat, since the character does this additional animation at the end of the leap. Try aiming for the edge of the next platform, and swap weapon when you are about over the platform

Another way is to jump on the spinning wheel while it is already spinning. This shortens the distance you jump

THIS WILL SAVE YOU SOME TIME AND FRUSTRATION: once you get the first aetherblade cache, turn around and jump off the ledge where the two aetherblade are patrolling. run to the end and jump down the hole into the water for another cache. there are pistons to get you back to the top. if you follow this video step by step then you'll throw away all progress toward one part of the puzzle just to jump off the edge where she tells you to when it can be done much sooner

I think I spent like 90 rage inducing minutes on this puzzle out of what seems to be pure masochism. That jump at 4:20 got me very close to destroying my laptop. I don't even know why I'm doing the puzzles, but I know I won't be able to sleep if I don't finish every single one I find. Are the other puzzles in the game as hard? Because if they are I don't think I'll be sane by the time I get my character to maxlvl.

+Sir Pubes The new one in Lion's Arch, called _Troll's Revenge_, is like this one in that it has no 'soft save' points- if you fall at _any_ point, you have to start the whole damn thing all over again. It's also one of the less-obvious JPs, meaning where you have to go next is not immediately clear without research beforehand or someone to guide you. And it's one of the longer JPs too, up there with _Obsidian Sanctum_. I've already admitted to myself that I'll probably _never_ complete _Troll's Revenge_ or _Not So Secret_ by myself/unaided... and I like doing JPs! T_T

I wish I had looked this up and read your comment cause I did this with a TOWERING Norn male in a trench coat that takes up even more screen real estate when you're in midair looking down, and I gotta tell you I was ready to tear somebody from limb to limb doing this. @@Crit-Chance As a tall character you have to rely on first person camera (zoom fully in and make sure its allowed as an option in settings to do so) also use the pipe at 3:55 to hop onto the thing that she shows at 4:20. The path at 4:20 is only better for Asura, otherwise its way too easy to mess up the jump fully while doing it from the pipe you have few miliseconds to steer your character onto the thing with your mouse as you try to land on it.

I tried 4 times the jump at 4:20 the way it was shown in video, using a 5 foot 9 Male Human. It's actually more difficult due to your character model covering the path to jump through and the net (object on left of you) is in the way of the camera and bigger character models. Definitely a better path for Asura who are very short, but if you're anything else then use the pipe at 3:55, look down with camera and jump and steer the camera the way you need to land on that part.

6:50 This particular jump, it's easy to miss. The next platform is at the peak of the jump pad's launch. TIP: Grant yourself the Swiftness boon. Makes getting to the next platform MUCH easier. It can be done without Swiftness, but Swiftness really helps.

I come from the future to tell anyone suffering like I and so many others did on the jump at 4:20, instead of jumping from that position on the large, flat platform, you should try jumping at it from the thin, brass pipe you crossed to get there. That way, you're mostly jumping _along_ your target and it's slightly harder to miss, bonk your head, or land too low and slide off.

you can get past fling gear if you are an elementalist, use ride the lightning ½ second after you jump on fling gear, you will get further than you normally would but at least with some trial and error you can get past it.

Some of us jp mesmers call them the cogs of doom but they are all about timing. Line up with the center of the second cog and jump on to the 12 o'clock position of the first cog from where you stand just as the first cog spins.

This puzzle is just a pain ... Not worse than the one in Metrica but still horrible. I just needed one last jumping puzzle to have my monthly success (1st one I ever completed) and since I hadn't explored much : this one was the last available. Found a nice group of 3 people, 1h later our mesmer got us teleported to the chest after we failed so hard. For the final dive in the well, I was the only one who succeeded thanks to pure luck. My mates were fed up but relieved. A true challenge ^^

I have yet to even reach the divergent path to the diving point on this puzzle, this is truly the worst of the puzzles I have done so far and for some reason the jump at 4:30 is nearly impossible to reach its like the piston isn't pushing me up high enough. It really sucks because this diving point is the LAST one I need for the diving achievment, but I do not have enough sanity to do this for another 3 hours.

@@AyinMaiden I couldn't make it work, neither could any of the other players nearby, but another player showed me that if you jump and run at the rock face that is between the last two pipes you can hop up onto it and leap from there to the platform. I still suck at getting up that way, but some people could do it first try every time.

So it seems that to make the rock-face thing work, you need to stand on the tip of the rock that is on the floor, face the rock face, then jump (there's like a pointy bit of the face you need to face as you jump), then press forward towards the rock face, your character should then run up the face, you then need to jump up and right, which will put your character onto the invisible pipe.

Get out of the water. Use launching platform to get up on the pipe. Get to a bit higher ground and jump to opposite side of steam pipe (has small spikes). From there you can make your way up.

Out of all the jumping puzzles, I absolutely hate this one the most. I have tried several times and have come to the conclusion that it is next to impossible to accomplish. It is the last one I need for the diving achievement and due to it's difficulty, I won't be obtaining it. Who's ever bright idea to put jumping puzzles in gw2 NEEDS a serious slapping! I having invented so many new, colorful swear words, maintained my anger and kept myself from throwing my laptop on the floor, that that in itself, should get me an achievement! I don't know how you do it Ayin. Do you take prozak before doing these, because you always seem so composed. LOL

This is stupidly hard by yourself, even at level 80 downscaled. I kept getting some fire DoT which repeatedly killed me on the boat thing. Lucky for you there was other people doing it. Trying this made me want to headbutt my keyboard so I swiftly stopped.

Haha I was posting that out of frustration, but I managed to finish the puzzle with a couple of mesmers who used portals to get everyone up above. There were like 10 people waiting for the mesmers to do the puzzle lol, every hard step further and they teleported us haha. Otherwise this is just impossible to do IMO.

No matter what angle, direction or where I stood on that wheel I always ended up falling down. If I went straight forward, the next wheel was there to let me fall, if I aimed either right or left of the next wheel, I missed the platform and went straight down as well. It's like the makers of this puzzle really tried their best to irritate people and let us spend hours to get the achievement. Also at the very end when you dive you have like 1000 objects to hit that will prevent you to get the achievement. Words can't describe how lucky we were that 3 mesmers got us through every time. Even with the mesmers we spent like 3 hours. Very glad you have to do this puzzle one time only.
