@@condorX2 I played gw1 for about 2k hours and just now started playing gw2. Well, I played it for like a month on release, but since it was so different, I was turned off. But damn, is this this a beautiful and addicting game. I just got all the expansions and am about to beat em all. 😎

One great bit of trivia about the griffon is that it was a complete surprise. Anet did not advertise it or say anywhere that there would be a flying mount in PoF - and since the unlock for it is at the end of the expansion, it was a few days until the community realized that it was a thing and word spread.

i was so surpised on launch when i finished the game and went back to amnoon to flex the jackal... only to see someone sitting there on a mount i had never even heard of haha (think it was the trial one from nest tho)

@@starwasteland I believe that_shaman has said before that if he encounters major spoilers, he doesn't disclose those and actually communicates them to ANet so they can be further obscured or removed from the live build (before the feature is fully released) to make it more difficult for less scrupulous dataminers from spoiling stuff. But there are ways for ANet to entirely hide thim - just don't put them in the live build at all until they're ready to be uncovered :)

It's so much fun! Jadebots from EoD help too. The glide boost when used with the bunny trick is almost enough to do a full dive from flat ground and the jadebot mount stamina regen is nice as well.

One thing that stuck with me about GW2 in general was that I, who came back after 5-6 years and hadn't thought all that much about it, /still/ remembered enough about the story and characters that I genuinely was so happy to see them again. Say what you want about the story, but if you can craft something that makes me feel like I've come home, I'm happy enough.

Path of Fire was a life changing experience for me. I’ve been dreaming of a game where mounts were used like this. They took my dreams, and improved them ten fold with the gryphon and rollerbeetle.

Season 4 was 8/10 cuz ending fights were a bit lacking. Icebrood was 90% a 3/10. Generic af slow and frustratingly dark story, especially forcing players to play as Rayan and help kill Almorra. I literally let her kill me a few times hoping I could progress the story that way. Creatively, they copied the last of us 2 too much. What makes it truly psychologically bad was the lack of choice. It felt like being forced to play the bad guys, to accept being evil, I guess. And I'm not THAT much of a a psychopath to enjoy it. Only the 3 last chapters are good. Rest...makes me feel like I wanna burn my pc and bleach my eyes...

Oh, but I guess Icebrood maps were cool. The Charr Concert was awesome! Bjora marches was okay 6/10 cuz map freezing is annoying af and the achi mastery points are cancer. The woods was well-crafted but map LAGS A LOT! But again, burn Icebrood Saga story to the ground! Hate that shit like I have never hated a game story before...

I am a new player. I am stuned at every corner. The world is so organic, I think is very casual to new players, and becomes more and more complex. Also the skills, the world interaction, the Masterys super cool idea. Even grinding is fun in this game. This is the place where I will retire, as a gamer. I play games for more than 20 years, and now, finnaly I got a mmo that respects my time.

@@RiftTraveller Yes mate, I don't know what to say, why I haven't played this jem these years. I struggled with so many mmo's, the toxicity, the insane grind. When we were kids, there was magic in games. Now days, it disappeared, is only grind and pseudo-professionalism. In GW 2 I had so much interaction with the world, the players, everything. In a big boss fight people stop and try to resurrect as much as they can, even if they die. Everyone is helping.I just started HoT. It's amazing!!! The verticality is mind blowing

@@bilibistrox I agree completely. If you haven't started already, I highly recommend playing through the Living World story seasons in sequence with the expansions. It is all one big story that keeps building on itself.

@@RiftTraveller I finished first 2 story's for the LW 1, and I finished the first missions for HoT and PoF just to unlock the maps for daily's and gold farm. Is so cool that the story is practically a tutorial for new content, and is so intertwined with the world, the events and practically with everything that players do. Is not a super top notch story, but hey, the best old school games don't have a cool story, they have a magnificent journey. So glad i found this game and this community. As the time passes, more and more will come to GW 2, after they got burned I other games.

Just finished PoF and got my Griffon last night. Really enjoying the game. Great balance of story and intricate gameplay. Maps full of secrets, loot, stuff to do.. great game. Shame it took me so long to find it.

I remember PoF coming out my freshman year of college and being in love with Elona, I tried recruiting my roommate to play with me for a bit and I remember looking forward to getting back to my dorm to work on the griffin collection. I was definitely lucky to have so much time on my hands back then; I hit my 7th anniversary shortly after EoD and I haven't logged on since I beat it

Raiding is actually one of the most rewarding content types when it comes to armor. It’s one of the only places to earn legendary armor, which is the top tier, stat selectable armor usable account wide.

Great video! I really hope your next video is Season 4 and Icebrood Saga (Season 5) before EoD! The narrative and gameplay quality hits new heights and in my opinion really starts to show Arenanet's mastery of their craft in this game. Also those 2 seasons are massive.

I think I saw you do it but in case you didn't know, flapping while diving on the griffon will give you a huge speed boost until you pull up (you can still flap to try to stay aloft). It's really helpful in the next expansion as there is a lot of tall verticality and valleys built in to zoom across the map with it and should give you some footage to drool over. Enjoy Living World 4 and the Skyscale. Wonderful showcase as always!

With the griffon as you dive hit the jump/space bar and you will go into a super speed mode that lets you fly faster, further, and higher

It should be noted once the griffin is fully mastered it can flap while diving to pick up speed, so when you pull back up you'll be at the same height you dove from.

I kinda hope that season 4 and icebrood saga gets it's own video, as it features great highs and interesting lows when it comes to content (strikes, meta events, massive maps, dragon response missions and more). Season 4 is basically an expansion all by itself! Also, that griffon reveal was fire 🔥🔥🔥

The Griffon was simply icing on the cake when looking at the mounts when I first got through PoF. It was simply an excellent wrap up to the rest of the features in the game. I look forward to your opinions of Season 4, probably the best story short of EoD.

I do think you're discounting raid rewards slightly, though you're mostly correct. the unique raid cosmetics and infusions are cool, as are the dhuum throne and legendary ring you can obtain.

I recently completed PoF and I'm on the final quest of Living World Season 4. LOVE the story. It has its cringe moments but otherwise I've been fully enthralled. I love how the dialogue is in person, and not the vanilla "cutscene" style.
