mtg arena is a pc game that has a decent tutorial. in terms of building competitive decks as a free to play player, it is a grind, but I think solely the tutorial would help you. Tolarian Community College here on youtube has a good playlist for new players to learn. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Arena is a good start and if you have a near by LGS (Local Game Store) most of the time you can ask if you can watch some games and ask questions about how to play. When I started out a year ago the card game store near my house was more than happy to help me. After all you: 1) can be a new customer and most people are gonna help someone if they can get money into the shop. 2) Someone who might share in there hobby that they can have fun and chat with. At the end of the day outside the corporate greed types we are all still into the game because we have fun.

I think you should read the rare and mythic and give some brief commentary on the theme, playability, mechanics, etc. A lot of people open boxes and just discuss the financial value. Although that is fun it would be nice to hear a player’s perspective as well.

Me personally I like the older videos you enjoy it more but there's also times I like just the sauce I think with certain older sets you should break it up a longer video and then the next video followed up by just the sauce kind of half-and-half it and yay for Colt the good luck charm I think you should open packs two

The shock lands are pretty sad. There really isnt any point to playing those unless you are absolutely desperate. I have some actual shock lands that deal damage to players or put spells and traps onto the field. Those would be the ones to look for.
