I really appreciate the message in this video. The coral reefs are dying and it is up to us humans to do our best to help save our oceans, and frankly, our world. The oceans are a huge part of the world ecosystem, and coral reefs are the support for the oceans. Hopefully we can stop the awful chemical changes to the ocean that humans are causing, like ocean acidification, and hopefully we can save our beautiful planet.

I am an ice swimmer. I use +/- the same breathing technique to circulate blood to my periphery. Ice swimming or winter swimming has more to do with apnoea diving than you might think. This absolute all-pervading calmness and happiness, which you feel in the cold water, is one of the aspects that apnea divers are looking for. Isn‘t it? This is an absolute top video. It would have deserved any art award.

That sounds super interesting, actually. I want to get into freediving but I don't know where could I start. Any tips?
@nauusea2 жыл бұрын
@@alexl.9076 Yep, I can hold my breath for around 5 minutes in underwater. You must practice apnea. Hold ur breath around 1 minute 30 second everyday in 3 months, and that is for beginnef

Great message...thank you ....It is so important for people to teach them to breathe.... It is so important for people to show them- how to get in touch with themselves and to show them the connection to earth and to the universe. We are connected to everyone and everything. Everyone can do something in their own area for themselves, for everyone, for the universe...great. Thank you

I fully support saving the coral reefs, however, do not understand running across them barefooted. As a 45-year certified scuba/free diver, I made it a point to ensure my fins and equipment did not impact the coral or anything delicate on a reef.

Corals under the sea.. Reconstitute soil on the land so that mother earth can breathe...
@1946FreddieMercury4 жыл бұрын
Most of the world's oxygen comes from the ocean. Ocean and coral preservation is no less important than forest preservation.
@karlbroberg16524 жыл бұрын
We need to do both to be honest, although in priority order the coral reef ecosystems have less time before it is estimated they will die out ~20 years. The soil has ~60 years however the carbon sequestration capability of soil may be what saves the coral reefs. A lot are dying from warming oceans, if we can improve farming practices to lock up more carbon in the soil and grow more land biomass as well as seagrass meadows, etc we can hopefully start global cooling. I do fear it might be too late for the coral reefs though, there is a lag period for heat exchange into water and it'll probably keep warming for a while yet
@mihaiilie88083 жыл бұрын
@@karlbroberg1652 corals didnt die of global warming.They are extremely heat tolerant actually ,especially the ones that get out in full blazing Sun when the tide retreats. What kills the coral reef its actually verry simple.Its the phosphorus from sewage and farming thats dumped in the water wich cause eutrophisation. Corals are verry verry sensitive to phosphorus because the zooxanthelae ( the algae that corals host) like phosphorus and it grows soo much that the corals then expell these algae becoming white . After that they die of starvation. So basically Australia ,a land of verry low( the lowest phosphorus content on Earth in soil with manny plants that even adapted to thrive in low phosphorus enviroment from the Proteaceae family) killed the GBR with sewage . Not even for an economical benefit. There is one single animal that ould have saved the GBR and thats the chinese silver carp wich eats planctonic algae and builds its bones from phosphorus thus takink it out of subject. Its really the most hated fish on Earth but i think its the most ecological restorer and should be respected like dolphins. If it dies of old age it had fufilled his ecological role of trapping phosphorus in his bones because the bones are not soluble in water. What im saying its at least 100 years ahead of time and manny more corals will dissapear( not just corals but many aquatic ecosistems like lake Erie for example) until this fish wish will be respected as it should be. You go and tell to rightwinger australians that the chinese silver carp its most ecological fish to have. They plan to develop diseases to make the carps extinct. Or go to explain to an american liberal that ,its the same when politics destroys science.
