Guilty Gear -Strive- vs Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2: Sol Badguy's Moveset comparison (All Normals)

This is the first video that I have legitimately made that isn't just a random gameplay clip I recorded. Because of software's limits while editing (SHAREfactory), This is only covering Sol Badguy's normals from Rev2 to -Strive-'s Beta Testing. Otherwise, I'd cover all of his specials.
I'm new at making videos, so any feedback will be fine. If you like the video or not, I'm open to criticism, so tell me what you'd like to see next.

After playing the beta and going back to Rev 2...yeah, I still prefer Rev 2 better. Simply because I can clown around during fights. The taunts are funny to watch, there's 1-hit KOs which is fun to watch, I feel like I have more freedom around the map, online lobby is amazing, and the characters have a lot more personality. Strive has amazing animations, but that's it.

I think instant kill was supposed to be there too but Daisuke and his team said because of the covid-19 ALOT of content has been cut off from the game

I prefer Xrd's moves. They look like they pack more punch. Also I know it's completely unrelated to the video but I'm also not a fan of the fact that every song in Strive has vocals.

Everything feels so weak in XRD now that Strive is out. Definitively an improvement, at least in terms of moves cuz' I don't like his new design.

I was debating getting xrd to practice but some people are saying the controls are very different in a sense so there's no point

The controls are exactly the same. With the exception on how grabs are assigned to the dust button. If you honestly play xrd then play strive, it's gonna feel much slower and less combo'y

Sol has a different move set since the early open beta. The same kind of plays differently then rev2, especially when it comes to dust. Dust in signs feels more like you got to be in a curtain space to pull it off. Rev2, you just launch in the air.

@@LazyPirate8 dusts have always been used as launcher in every guilty gear against ccrouching opponents since they're technically overheads. In strive, however, you can launch people in the air if the dust attack is a counter hit. (Which idk why they went that route...the dusts were fine before.)

@@LazyPirate8 also it's always been tricky for most characters to pull off dust hits on cognizant reflexive players. They're slow attacks that have short range (some are good like chipp's and Ravens's due to great range). They're actually faster In general in strive which is why they don't launch except off a counter hit.

@@travis51killer01unfortunately it seems that arc system works is abandoning its former glory. All they wanna do is make the game easier at the cost of intricate and awesome mechanics in this New guilty gear. Let's hope there is a Rev 3 or whatever it is that shall be the light in our tunnel together, bud.

@@OGMudbum I doubt rev 3 is happening, but it can be like dbfz, season 1 was trash and ended up pretty well. All I have in mind is "we don't need another granblue".
