What really makes me mad are when scumbags who are caught doing something fucked up with a child blame it on mental illness. I have mental illness and I have been sent to psychiatric hospitals 5 times already and nearly went to jail once. But I have never felt the urge to hurt a child like that. There is already a stigma against individuals with mental illness and stories of R. Kelly blaming his actions on MI make me furious. Sorry for the rant. Great video Larry.
@coldchillin83822 жыл бұрын
I agree. When the allegations came out right, my sis is a huge R Kelley fan. She mentioned how he was abused at a young age and I get that, but that doesn’t give you the right to fuck up young people too. If anything, it’s doubly as bad since you know the effects but do it anyway.
@chrisrobertson79822 жыл бұрын
It has to be some sort of a mental illness honestly, no sane person would do these things to children. That's not to say he isn't deserving of a jail sentence, he absolutely is. But your argument, at least in my perception, is as good as saying schizophrenia isn't an excuse because I have bipolar disorder and I don't act schizophrenic.

pedophilia(attraction to underage children) is considered a mental illness by the dsm. the issue is like with any illness it affects people differently and there are different types. you might not have that problem but other people do.
@mokushmasmo60092 жыл бұрын
Im not n expert about shit but mental illness is such a broad term that it can mean literally anything. So bringing it up like "well I got mental illness and im not a killer." It isn't really a good point. And who gives a shit if a criminal has mental illness. That doesn't mean they should get out or sympathy. If anything them having mental illness should make barriers more barricaded.

Never fully understood prison culture until watching your videos. You break it down so seamlessly. R Kelly is a very broken man with a dark and sinister past. He was hurt and he hurt alot of people. I remember the trial from the early 2000s and how he got off. He had some powerful people supporting and working for him. I dont think he realized that no matter what he's been able to get away with, eventually he was going to go down. They give a lot of people no bail if the judge thinks they're not going to get convicted so they at least serve some time in jail no matter how innocent they are. I've seen people get no bail for something as simple as petty theft, a very small amount of drugs, other petty crimes, and even people with no record that are locked up for their first petty crime. It's never going to stop until people make a stand which isn't going to happen because most people are so hateful and selfish that they don't care if it doesn't happen to them.
@jasonharris9963 жыл бұрын

There are over 22,000 Federal Statutes on the books. So many, no human even knows the total amount. That's not counting every states, county, providence, Parrish, and municipality set of individuals laws. Every human in the U.S.A. commits NO LESS THAN two felonies, every day without even knowing it. Is it illegal to have dik pics on your phone? In most states, yes. It will fall under the pornography laws and commercial code. Lol 😆 The only thing that separates felons and citizens is someone's decision to prosecute you.

that's a whole other video. I think all that was faulty parenting mostly. go to the parties but bring your kid home at night. They never got enough evidence on him to prove any crimes. Nevertheless it all wasn't healthy

@@LarryLawtonJewelThief there’s absolutely no evidence of anything with MJ other than the testimony of proven liars and perjurers seeking monetary compensation.
@soovi45223 жыл бұрын
@@LarryLawtonJewelThief Definitely. I believe MJ didn't do anything wrong, but the parents are really to blame. Hell, if I was a celebrity, I wouldn't let any kids stay over at my house, that would make it seem like they're trying to set me up to frame me or something. Sadly MJ was just pumped full of painkillers he didn't have enough common sense to see that.
@ReignierAvon3 жыл бұрын
@@LarryLawtonJewelThief I always felt like MJ had his childhood robbed from him by fame and the pressures that came with it. As a rich adult, he felt he had the money and means to try and recapture that childhood he lost by building a theme park and playing kids games with kids. Unusual, for sure, but then again most of us had the luxury of a relatively normal childhood. Unfortunately I think his actions made him a very open target for more nefarious allegations.

I'm a convicted felon and thankfully I've been able to turn my life around. About 3 years ago the deputy warden (who was a LT. When I was released) contacted me. After my release finding work was next to impossible, so with two hundred dollars to my name I started my own business. I build and service motorcycles. The deputy warden asked me to come and speak. I was honored to do so, however I felt it wasn't enough. It took some wrangling but now there's a program where we teach inmates how to work on and build bikes. I've also been able to hire or help place former inmates with other builders. I encourage everyone that runs or owns a business to give people a shot of having a life after prison. The feeling you get from helping others is amazing. I hoping we can extend the program to juvenile facilities.
