When Toby first teased Noelle’s theme on Twitter he also said that it might play when she isn’t around, so perhaps thats the reason why her theme is here.

Maaaaybe. I don't think Lost Girl is just a generic theme like say "Don't Forget" just by virtue of it's title being such a specific thing... Like, if it was just called "Lost" I could see it... But specifically Lost Girl? I kind of assumed it was Dess's theme after the sweepstakes and that's why it would play without Noelle present sometimes. I dunno though.

The very first part of the Sneaking song appears to have the Heartache motif, which makes sense considering it's 99.5% likely to be a Chapter 3 track. Lost Girl might be there because of Noelle's mentioned "Holiday family ninja style" in the newest girl sweepstakes page? We don't know the story context; it's possible someone mentions it.

Already mentioned by other folks, but in Toby's tweet that first showed off Lost Girl, he mentioned that the leitmotif would be used sometimes for scenes not involving Noelle just because he liked it. (E.G, when you eat moss with Susie, "Girl Next Door" plays even though Noelle is not around)

Right, I had to look into that. So, the specific wording used is, "it's actually the kind of song that gets used repeatedly all over the game, even when she's not around...' I don't think it's necessarily a generic theme like "Don't Forget" or "Undertale" because it doesn't seem to be related to the main theme of the game and it's so specific. Like, if it was called "Lost" I could see it being more generic, but Lost Girl? I kind of assumed after the Sweepstakes, with the "Find Her" version and everything, that Lost Girl is supposed to be a Dess theme, which makes some sense. After all, the topic of Dess isn't entirely linked to Noelle, but it's natural she would be around when it comes up often, making it kind of like a Noelle theme as Toby implied. (The only scene in the game it plays for so far is the baseball moon scene, which is probably linked to Dess.) I think a good analogue from Undertale would be "His theme." It seems like it shows up randomly at first, but after the story you realize that when it plays it's generally something to do with Asriel, like the statue of him in Waterfall or Flowey related themes. If Lost Girl is a Dess theme then it can show up all over the place for Dess related things without her really being there. That's why I immediately jumped to thinking if maybe Mayor Holiday might show up in chapter 3, as with her around Dess related topics might come up naturally. Like, for example, if the kids are sneaking around her because they're intimidated, but she's actually trying to find them for their own safety, much like she tried to for with Dess. Or maybe the Shadowmen were often played with by Asriel and Dess, or whatever the theme is related to. Given Toby's reputation with lietmotifs, I just can't believe it could be totally random. In the case of Girl Next Door being used for the moss eating totally randomly... I think that was probably just Toby picking a suitable happy theme for the humorous moss scene, rather than an indication that Girl Next Door isn't a Noelle theme at all, but we'll see. I guess the real question is whether this sneaking scene would have been a gag to a moss-like extent where something similar might have happened with the music, or not. Maybe in the next chapter we'll find out that Noelle was actually secretly watching the moss scene and she'll make Susie a moss lunchbox, who knows lol. It's really hard to say for sure with really only 1 chapter to go off of to be fair to all of us 😅

@@guiltyflygon I think I do generally agree with the comparison of the lost girl motif with His Theme/Memory in Undertale, (when that became more clear with 'lost girl', it made me pretty worried for Dess knowing about Asriel's fate in Undertale.) Then again, Memory was used during the Undyne hangout when she talked about Asgore soooo. The reason I highlighted the 'Girl Next Door' usage was because that song has the the same motifs found in Lost Girl. (Though even though it was randomly used here, I do assume this motif/lost girl leitmotif is kind of .) I did just come up with a theory while writing this comment that maybe if the Knight shows up in Ch3, then maybe the use of this motif could hint towards a Dess/Mayor Holiday Knight reveal if it's used around the Knight? Or maybe it's a hint towards Suselle, and Susie came up with the sneaking idea by asking "What would Noelle do here..." (The second unused version of the lost girl motif has hints of 'Vs. Susie' so maybe Lost Girl would be used more around Susie as she realizes she has feelings for Noelle or something?) Or this could be like a Ghost Fight situation where the motif is used for the Napstablook/Mad Dummy/Mad Mew Mew fights, but is randomly used in Spider Dance even though Muffet is not one of the ghost cousins... (Or, maybe it's used because Muffet was paid by Mettaton? Know it's unclear and some people think it might be Flowey but who knows!) (I think the second one is likely... totally not biased /sarcastic) Do think lost girl's a Holiday family's/Holiday sister's theme, but kind of hard to know what the context for sneaking is as the section was removed (but I really hope it's reused elsewhere in the game as sneaking is a flipping banger...) Maybe the Motif will be used elsewhere in the chapter who knows. Anyway, apologies for taking so long to send a comment. Things have been pretty crowded with assignments at uni and I should probably be working on that instead of writing this Deltarune theory comment xD!

Said this on jaru's vid I guess I'll say it again. Noone confirmed if it was just me or not but hopefully if you're a truck freak you can see the regular email as well and the lancer gif is either replaced by Susie or Kris with a leaf on their head. Apparently in the Kris one ralsei stops raking to look at them. (Also I've noticed a few people say that we don't know if ralsei will be in chapter 3, but isn't there a gif from the spamton sweepstakes of a shadowman fight where all three heroes become mafiosos for a second? Do we not count that?)

I can't see any other gifs, no. I'm sure someone out there has documented it (hopefully). I was so intrigued by this Shadowmen sounding theme potentially being a chapter 4 track for exactly that reason, as the only other real Ralsei sprite we've seen for Chapter 3 is the Shadowmen fight... but it seems this might be a scrapped chapter 3 song anyways as "campaign 4" actually refers to this being the 4th newsletter, not that it's from the 4th chapter.

Them labeling it as "Campaign 4" instead of just the usual Chapter labeling system is odd. With past stuff they were labeled with a Ch followed by the number for the chapter. They could change up the naming convention so it's not a solid piece of evidence, but i don't know. If this isn't Chapter 4, i think the file naming could be explained with the Chapter being split into a bunch of smaller "campaigns" for each of the different themes we've seen hinted(the Weathers, the gangster vibe of the Shadowmen, maybe the cowboy section if it getting canceled really was just hinting at the secret boss). It's so funny that an unused music track can open up so much speculation

Campaign 4 relates to this being the 4th newsletter. Images from the 3rd newsletter have "campaign 3" Also another minor point, but Toby titled this only "ch. 3 status update"
