Unironically I think Kris acted around Susie because if they didn't Susie would have made them go in first and shut the door on them. As a Krighter, I will say I feel speculating on Kris' motive too hard as the Knight is trying to read too far ahead. Actually speculating on knight motive in general feels like a dead end. We only have shallow and silly things to work with no matter who is the knight. I feel it only makes sense if the Knight has some motive relating to fate itself that we cannot glean the true purpose of yet at all. Also the scrapped intro runs contradict to King knowing the Knight. The scrapped intro if it showed the Knight at the top of the stairs undisguised, it would spoil the "mystery" instantly. So they'd have to be wearing a disguise/armor or something. So if the Knight is wearing full body armor the King couldn't have personally met them and know who they are. And vice versa doesn't work the best either as then the player is being spoiled.

Oh, actually! A thing about Noelle and Susie, aswell as December our local missing person, we're all actually referenced in Undertale! This fits very nicely with all those theories of Ralsei having ulterior motives and/or being in cahoots with a mysterious entity in some way. If someone (or something) Ralsei is working with is trying to condense darkness in the bunker, _of course_ Ralsei wants the fountains to be sealed, their friend’s experiment is leaking! This could also provide the Knight with a goal beyond causing the apocalypse. Perhaps they’re trying to prevent the pressure from building up too much and exploding or something (and maybe bring the Roaring _their_ way). And if dark worlds can be dissipated by natural light, Toriel’s house is actually a _very_ good place to prevent the pressure from building up without it spilling into the outside world and causing The Roaring. It’s spacious enough to be able to contain the darkness during night, and the windows provide plenty of light to dispose of said darkness. It could act as a “storm drain” of sorts.
