For when Kelsey is talking about the ear piercing scene and saying that all girls did that I just wanna say NO we did not. None of my girlfriends and I at home or sleep away camp ever watched that scene and thought “that seems like a good idea!!” Even at such a young age it was so obvious that you DONT do that. This movie was the first VHS I ever bought when I was 10 years old. I saved up 3 weeks of allowance for this 14.99 VHS. Then for my birthday requested the sound track. I just rewatched it again too recently. It's iconic. It's part of my girlhood herstory. I would of died to be able to do the secret handshake. And while I was a Mary K and Ash stan THIS movie chemically changed me forever.
