Hope you got some sleep... Hammocks my guys love hammocks. I get the ones that attach onto the cage and go across the width of it. I put hay in my males hammock and he loves to belly flop in it. My girls take turns in theirs but when one wants in she will go underneath and push until the occupant leaves. Its hysterical to watch them. The belly flop is priceless.

Abyssinians are very sensitive when their fur is touched since it's pokey so that might be why Figgy doesn't like cuddle sacks (unless you put one on him urself, like the Santa outfit, since he's not alpha xD). And Olive is alpha lady so she'd be less scared to sleep in the open ;D Joni and Moira were adorable under there, they look so soft ;> And Alexis was watching you very patiently at the end from a tunnel xD

I'm a fairly new piggy owner so am going back through all sorts of older videos. These tips are great - I'll have to try the draping fabric over the top of the cage to see if that encourages my dude to come out more. Thanks for the idea!

I Love using hammocks with or on wooden stands as they serve as bed (the hammock itself) and underneath the hammock they have an extra hidey ☺️ Another thing that helped me was buying water bottles that are filled from the top so I don’t have to get them out daily to refill but only once when they need cleaning.

I prefer bath mats to fleece, the hay doesn't stick to them. I also use old pillowcases for hideouts 😊

Love your channel. My guinea pig passed away due to reacuring bladder stones. We gave them Alfalfa treats sometimes, and when we went to the vet the first time for our guinea pig the vet told us NOT to feed her alfalfa. The vet said that it has a lot of calcium and that can develope bladder stones or make it worse for guinea pigs with bladder stones. Bladder stones are in some guinea pigs genetics, however they can develope bladder stones too. But as a tip to guinea pig owners stay away from alfalfa

I am blessed my piggies pee and poop in there litter box all but my two new babies (they don’t give a sh’t) lol they will have a few poops laying around but for the most part it is in the litter tray ❤️

Something that really helped me with the poop collection was a litter/hay box. I have the kavee cage you used to have in Moira/Jonni's cage spot. The litter box we have came from the guinea pig cages store and it fits well. Under the loft is a little tight but my boys are always in the litter box. I do need to figure out a better solution to the paper bedding. Do you change their fleece in their hay boxes every day or every few days? I'm tempted to make a fleece pad myself for the inside of my litterbox but I don't know. Thanks for the tips, appreciate you, Josh, and your piggy children!

Hi! Yes I do 2 layers of uhaul moving pads then a fleece piece over top and I change them out every few day. Once they are wet to the touch in any area I switch them out. Hope this helps !
