I just met Rutger Hauer today. And so, here's all of his gloriously cryptic appearances as the Man with the Guinness in one collection.
Click here for some trivia, as uncovered by the fellow who ripped these:

@@Amethyst_Friend Lol, that's the beauty of having more than one word, expression or term for the same thing and for different occasions and emotions. If we only ever used one word to express our emotions or meaning then our thoughts, lives and the ability to vocalise about them would be pretty boring. But you go ahead and do your Edgelord thing, I guess 🤡

I met Mr Hauer at the same 2016 con (it was the Sunday for me). Weird that it's almost 3 years ago exactly, especially with 2019 being this weekend. Did you see his talk? I don't remember details, but remember it was a lot funnier than I expected - he had a VERY dry sense of humour. I also remember he was extremely unhappy with the upcoming Blade Runner 2049 which he felt could never get close to the original and shouldn't have been made. You could see just how much pride he had in the original, justifiably. Rest in Peace Mr Hauer, you were a class act! 👏

@@desertrose1226 Yes it's a brilliant film isn't it. There's an excellent vid on KZbin where a chap goes out and finds all of the places that they shot the film. Some of it has changed but most of it is still the same. I would love to visit them myself, as I've always had a fascination for very remote deserted places. Also, it has to be mentioned that "All the Time in the World" by Louis Armstrong didn't become a hit, until it was featured in the later Guinness ads (25 years after it's original release!). I don't even think many people were aware that it was a "Bond theme" at the time, because On Her Majesty's Secret Service used to be one of the least talked about films in the series.

I moidered my Mam until I was allowed to try some. Anyway at 10 or 11 at my Aunties Annes house I was given a glass and my young palette didn't appreciate it too much. It was horrible. These adverts are iconic. The idea of Rutger Hauer dressed all in black with his fair hair representing a glass of guiness was genius. Perhaps that was the pure genius referred to in the adverts.
