@@ld24p26 it does, if you understand anatomy a little bit, or just have basic logic. he basically has a strongman bodybuilder arms but female weight. Very light to lift. That is exaggerating but gives you the idea. his weight is not balanced as for other humans. UPD not to disrespect his achievements. But thats indeed unfair to others for general record. Ok the heaviest sumo deadlift has to be a typo. It said 3080 kg. That’s almost 7000 pounds or 3 and a half tons. 380kg would be understandable. That’s 850 pounds. Still a lot of weight. Paul Anderson lifted 6,270 pounds in the 1956 olympics. That is the most anyone has ever lifted according to google. Look up a photo. There’s no way she lifted that amount of weight that many times. I know it’s a typo but common Guinness

Well, he was wearing an 80 pound pack on his back, so I feel like it’s pretty fair. Plus, what if someone naturally weighs less than he does with both of their legs?
@oppo6963
@oppo6963 2 жыл бұрын
@@rachele3334 Not it's not fair, because he set the record for most pull ups in one minute with a 80 pound pack, meaning that people with both legs also have to wear an additional 80 pounds onto their bodies. And regarding your second point: this doesn't make sense because in this competition, strength to weight ratios are everything, because pull ups are a body weight exercise (and the 80 pound pack is a constant, meaning that it doesn't matter how you are built, you still have to carry that 80 pound pack). Therefore if someone weighs less than he does with both of their legs, they have a strength disadvantage, but a weight advantage. Normally the opposite is the case with a heavier person. But now let's imagine there is another guy who is able-bodied and weighs the same as the record holder with just one leg. The able bodied person needs to carry a lot more weight which doesn't add anything (the leg muscles don't contribute much during pull ups), while the weight of the record holder consists of much more upper body muscle mass, which do add to a better pull up performance. You can imagine it if we pretend that one single leg weighs 80 pounds, so the record holder would be doing "normal pull ups" while everyone else would be doing harder ones.
