What I love about Steve is that he understands that not everyone here is a guitar pro. I simply want to enjoy playing these amazing solos to a level that meets my current time and skills.

I'm a hack at playing guitar but this guy makes it so easy to follow along with. Look at the time of his videos compared to others and Steve's are 3 times longer and he explains the entire song. Steve keep up the great work. If it weren't for your videos I would never have picked up the guitar again after 25 years.

Thank you for the lessons. I love you lesson structure, tear the song apart, play it using basic chords, or power chords, or individual notes. That give newbies (old person new to guitar) some ideas to start with. And starting with the basic chords makes it feel like an accomplishment. Then, playing it more and more i get comfortable and can stretch it out a bit!! Thanks again!!!

I think I left this comment on another of your vids, but I love how you emphasize having fun and doing what you can with a song given your skill set. For 99% of us....this is a hobby and it should just be fun. As a local FoH sound engineer having worked with a bunch of cover bands.....I am frankly sick of this song. But I still felt like I needed to learn it. Does have a nice solo guitar part. Thanks for what you do Steve. Now a subscriber. I'm still a hack guitar player, but I am having fun.

James Scott Nicholson, Ontario, Canada I’m sorry buddy I’ve been watching you for about a year now since Covid started and I thought I subscribe subscribe to you. I just noticed that I haven’t so I did. Just want to say I was watching one of your videos on arpeggios and it finally gave me that aha moment, so I just like to say thanks a lot this is a great channel and you’re 10 times better of an instructor than any of these other guys out there. You are patient, very thorough and I’m not spending my time listening to you play the lick over and over while I’m trying to let it sink into my head. Some teachers keep playing the lick and never give you time to thoroughly hear it. Sure I know you can rewind, but I’ve been playing for 40 years I just taught myself theory through this Covid period, and I CAN Play something pretty much as fast as I hear it I am 49 years old I’m sure you understand my point once again thanks a lot great job.The Only mystery I have is learning what the heck are tetrachords it would be great if you could explain this sorry this is so long.P.S. Every time I learn something in theory, then I would look up your corresponding video say, Triad, inversions, arpeggio’s and Modes...I guess you could say you in advertently taught me Theory!!! (LOL) But don’t worry I have a big mouth so I tell all the intermediate guitar players if they want to learn properly to follow your courses hopefully you get some extras from it you sure gave me a lot once again thanks...

What I do is when it's the picking pattern, I slide on the top string from the 12 fret play the open string all the way up until I play the open string again, but then a strum the bottom two strings before i play the open sting the second time. If that makes sense. If not just search up rock smith 2014 don't stop believing
