I still see people hating Arnel for "replacing" Steve, well do you rather let Journey disband? Steve made Journey and Arnel saved it. They're both talented singers, and I'm guessing if Arnel was the original vocalist and Steve as the "replacement", everything you're saying about Arnel will be the same exact thing you'll say to Steve.

Saw journey in their heyday with Mr Steve Perry as they were the kings of the road 1979-1983. How many singers have replaced Steve Perry since he left. Steve Algeri was very good along with Jeff Scott Soto. In reality, neither of the two could kick journey into over drive until Neal Schon found AP. You can say what ever you want, Arnel Pineda is like a heavy weight prize fighter with full vocal chops to fully cut Steve Perrys vocal lines and give Journey the kick in the ass in needed to perform in the fashion of its remarkable days with Steve Perry. The chemistry of Journey with AP is very similar to the original band and once thier gone you will never see the likes of them again. Neal Schon is no fool, once he found Arnel , he did the right thing in hiring him. original drummer Steve Smith puts the fire back into the original line up, which is why he is a drum legend in his own right. Arnel Pineda is one very fine person and an excellent singer who has earned total respect for his role in reviving a band that sorley needed a heavy weight professional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The problem are these dumbasses that keeps on comparing the two, as if Perry can still sing these songs to this day, it's okay to love the OG voice of Journey(I honestly still prefer Perry over Arnel IMO) but they should realize the fact that Perry can no longer sing these songs today. that's a fact. if they can't appreciate Arnel's voice then don't, it's fine. but they need to move on.

He is not singing like Steve anymore. I can't believe you people can't hear that he's singing like Arnold. I don't think Neil Sean hired Arnel to sing like Arnold he hired Arnold to sing like Steve and he's not doing that so I totally disapprove of him as of right now. When he started he was great he did everything he could have sound like Steve now he's trying to sing it like Arnel would sing it and that's just not acceptable because it's journey and it's Steve Perry it's not Arnel. He's not at Liberty to change these vocals anyway he wants to as far as I'm concerned and I know Neil Sean and I know did some serious craps going on backstage because Arnel is doing this. Steve Perry had a beautiful voice and was a great lead singer for Journey. I have prayed many times for him to come back and for Journey to continue, but now I am rooting for Arnel with all my heart. He is so good and amazing. I wonder how much pressure he must have been under until now? The greater the achievements of his predecessor, the harder it is for his successor to take over. He will continue to struggle. But I'm sure he will achieve great things. I hope Journey continues.💕

I had the pleasure to admire them in my unknown country, GUATEMALA, I delighted to see and hear them, very fantastic! but now I found this video and I can realize Arnel is much more better than than, I'm talking about 8 years before at least, still enjoy and please come back very soon!

Who knew Steve Perry came in a Filipino flavor? 😁 I can't believe how much he sounds like him.
@lucidam77225 жыл бұрын
820hurleyj you obviously don’t know Steve Perry’s voice. Arnel doesn’t even sing in the original key for the majority of the time, it’s at least half a key lower. Deen Castronovo sounds closest to Steve Perry.
@coreymaster13695 жыл бұрын
Stayin’ Sane Lowering a songs key doesn’t mean anything, also this is in the original key... and Steve definitely couldn’t sing this anymore, just listen to his solo album he released recently

@@lucidam7722 Accept once and for all that Steve Perry will never go up on stage to sing with Journey again, including singing songs from journey, especially this one.
@lucidam77223 жыл бұрын
@@MaryMetal1 I know that he won’t go back to Journey because he’s been saying it for years, doofus because he divorced the band in 1998. I don’t really care who sings lead for Journey. I’m just responding to y’all that won’t accept that Arnel only sometimes sounds like Steve Perry just like all the other Steve Perry impersonators in all those Journey tribute bands out there. You obviously don’t read because I already wrote that he’s not going back to Journey in my previous comment.

The band adjusted the key that's why. They preferred to keep Arnel instead of getting a new one which is a great decision on their part.

Arnel has such great strong voice & he must’ve sang this song a few million times, even way before he joined Journey. Close your eyes & listen & he sounds so much like Steve but with a touch of a rocked out voice. Love Steve but Arnel is killing it !!! Kudos man !!!

In my opinion, Journey's best years were with Perry, but Pineda started a new chapter in the life of the band, keeping it alive and running, while showing Perry's impact on the band and music as a whole. Edit: Even if Perry would come back in the future, y'all should thank Pineda for keeping Journey alive until then.

Filipinos are generally loyal. How many years had Arnel been with Journey before this Pandemic? What about 2021? How many years? This Pandemic May not allow them to play together., yet I know he is still with the band. Here in the Philippines, in some interviews, he has said that he itches to be Physically with the band and continue doing concerts together. God allowing it.
