Outstanding presentation and valuable explanations. Michael Chapdelaine explaining directly and sincerely technique, hints and tips. This, along with the full lesson and score/tab is simply priceless. Thank you very much

Thank you for this. I tried to learn Romanza Anonima in 1972 while living in South America. Then, life.... I began Romanza again a year ago. Making progress.... this lesson, the lesson on tone with the right hand and your video on Romanza will help me play guitar the way I hope to.

I’m glad I stumbled upon this. It’s been surprisingly hard to find classical guitar instructions for folks who already play other styles. This is a helpful lesson.

This makes great sense. I appreciate the way you presented this and also terminology. Thank you! I naturally play this style, and started reading classical, but didn't have this clarification in structure.

Great teaching ! Can you also do a topic about damping unwanted notes while changing chords ? It’s a topic that’s often overlooked imo.

Can't put a price on this. Honest explanation of something I've never heard anyone say before: (Nobody's gonna hear it :-) ) and a mini masterclass by Michael Chapdelaine. Well that was a dream come true moment. Thank you Micheal!

Really great explanations for a newbie to classical guitar. I suppose I can use these techniques just as well on steel string.

Fingering notes in the chord that you don’t play creates sympathetic resonance which can be quite pleasing as long as it doesn’t interfere with fluidity.

This was great. While I don't play classical pieces I have somehow adopted the techniques you explain here because they just make sense. However, I bet when I try this exercise, I'll realize how much more practice is yet required. By the way, if you're allowed to say, what guitar are you playing and what strings?
