Amazing and very funny, as always mr Ryan. Would you do 'Marigold' the FF version? The chord progression is easy, but I'm lost when I try to play and sing :|

thank you Pedro :) we do need more FF!

Awesome job! Would you ever consider doing a tutorial on the acoustic Building A Mystery by Sarah McLachlan? I realize it may not appeal to a lot of people but I’ve always wanted to learn it. Thanks!
@RyanLendt6 жыл бұрын
I'd consider doing a tutorial on anything other than Creed or nickelback (or anything creed or nickelback related, so puddle of mudd is out too)

IMO The guitar work on that song is very tasteful and has always left an impression for me since the 90s. Very melodic swells at around the 3:10 mark of studio version (on electric guitar).

Another great lesson! I have a request. Please teach Purple Rain; the intro the way Wendy played it( plus a cheater version cause its insane!) And the solo the way Prince played it. I know you can teach this. So many can't. And P.S . I just bought a Mother love Bone CD that I used to borrow in those days . I can't believe I never owned it!
@RyanLendt6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jody! who is Wendy? They'll never stop making vinyl, but i wonder when they'll stop making CD's... find it on 8 track that'll be something!

Wendy Ann Melvoin (the lead guitarist for Prince) She played that song when she was 19.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWOaiGCVetOgbqc live performance by Dean here seems to suggest verse section A7 chord which is difficult to make out on the record is played in 5th position

Odd that Dean would play something so peculiar. So unlike him.
@RyanLendt6 жыл бұрын
i figured it out immediately after i posted the video. it's a dim7 chord. the 'weird note' in the A has a note from the dim7 chord and the Eb does too... and for Dean, one note in common is plenty to justify playing it over another chord :P
@RyanLendt6 жыл бұрын
just needed to get that off my chest. this is how we learn.
@patprime73206 жыл бұрын
@@RyanLendt it is... Still, figuring out too much Dean may actually make you a masochist.
