One of my faves from 1972. Loved everything that Bread ever did...all of them were such great songs!

Nice. I like this band a ton. Hat tip to my mom- she had Bread & David Gates record when I was little. I was born in April of 70 but remember stuff from 74 on & it seemed like such a kind time. I miss it. But there is beautiful music still being made & played.

I was born in December 1965 and remember Guitar Man by Bread like it was yesterday. Also Carly Simon’s You’re So Vain, and many others. I really thank my godfather for this.

All I can say is WOW! I knew these guys were good in the studio, but now, I have a new respect for them. Another great band that really doesn't get the recognition they deserve!

@therealcaesar Yeah I just learned about Larry Knechtel. I guess he was part of the Wrecking Crew as well. Someone has written a book about the Wrecking Crew and said that Larry was a Musical Genius. Said he could literally play any instrument by ear...said he played Bass for the Doors on Light my Fire and that amazing opening piano part on "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and on and on...Great to learn about guys like this...Not sure if he's still with us or not. rock on!

Dean Parks plays the guitar in this video. Not on the record, there it is Harry Knechtel (bass player in the video)

O solo na versão de estúdio é incomparavelmente superior. Por isso o Bread nunca alcançou o padrão de um Dire Straits (que crescia ao vivo).

So I hear the guiatr player on stage is..... Dean Parks....! I was always convinced Larry played this also live..... Sorry Dean! ;-)

@roboyoga3 I guess Larry Knechtel (who played the guitar on the record) is playing bass here and does the backings. I dont know who plays the guitar here? I see 5 people on stage.... Is Griffin playing?
@therealcaesar13 жыл бұрын
if you look at "she s the only one- live" you see that griffin is not the guitar player and that larry plays the bass.... I dont get it.... ?
