Holy Crap, This is beautiful!!! I had that Air Borne Again poster on the wall of my garage because i had an Ibanez Rocket Roll Sr back then. No garage now but still have the poster. Also Supremely lucky to get the Ibz back as a gift. Ash, 3 piece Maple neck. Satch loved these Gibson RI's but ask Paul Gilbert about the IBZ. Spotlight GP, he had one. btw, Ohio brought a tear to my eyes. Mark Farner had a vid recently about the state of radio. Said they'd avoid tunes like this for fear of riling people up. great dropped pick!

Gotta love any guitar with Tim Shaw pups but an '80s Flying V & Hot For Teacher! Oh yeah!!

Tim Shaw is the pickup guru no one talks about. At Gibson in the late 70's, they asked him to make a pickup that was a repro of a PAF and he got very close. They didn't give him free reign on materials, though ((gotta keep those expenses down), and he couldn't replicate it completely. But they are as close as anyone has come and he did it just about 40 years ago. I have an '82 Les Paul Custom with Shaws and it sings like a bird. Tim is at Fender now and has been for maybe 30(?) years. his R&D and design work has improved Fender guitars immeasurably.

Very cool guitar, especially if you're Paul Stanley. The catch is that you can't really play one of these unless you're standing, sitting is no starter and reclining on a couch or bed never seems to work because they shift constantly. The EVH stuff sounded great but looked totally wrong for that V... Gorgeous V, bet it's gone by Saturday afternoon!

That had a fantastic sound all around. I'm not a v person but that one was swinging. Mark seems to be a stickler for each note but he slipped up on hot for teacher tapping; lots of open strings missed. But kudos for owning that at the end of the vid. And yeah if you haven't tapped in a while ( like since election day 2016) it can tricky. Feeling inspired to go dust off that lick for myself. Been a while too since I've tapped. Not expecting much. Rock on.

If you look closely during the second song Marks thumb is coming of the pick all the time while he is playing. Like he is letting go of the pick and then catching it again midair before striking the strings again. Never seen anything like that in my life. Super weird.

prob is mic is attached to camera as i have heard the change as she moves and have done both vid and audio production. Most cams have a mic input that cuts the the cam mic. If the amp is miked it must lead to a board, duh, which has mixed outputs ez plug and record.Since i have been living in the 3rd world since 04 and i know this.... que pasa con ustedes. Nicaragua, here having a great little war down here come on watch history! shit we got net:) curious, since i drove a 12 channel basic yamaha 12ch 1000 watt mixed amp board down here in the late 90s, is it vintage yet? jijiji
