Great advert for the course Ned! I was wondering about whether to commit but if this is lesson one, it looks perfect for me. Starting off with this sort of augmented rhythm/rhythm-lead as a basis is just what I want, and I'm sure the later lessons get more spicy! Thanks for putting yourself out there, it's brave, and helpful 👍

back again. i’m on the 1st lesson on level 2 - was having so much fun just playing it to the backing track. it’s really helping me that you’re playing all levels in one take, i’m gonna mention to him he should have a track like that too def enjoying this course - he’s explaining how he composes these pieces and it’s brilliant!!

I'm going record lesson 3 tonight, then I'll be onto the first solo. I really like that the backing tracks he does repeat at different dynamics. It good to just keep doing the licks on loop for practice. But the dynamic changes keep it interesting, and encourage you to play it differently each time.

Thanks for sharing this Ned. I'm taking Paul's Learn, Practice, Play course now, almost done. I'm interested in his Electric Elevation course but was worried that it might be a little too advanced for my "less than a year" beginner status. Seeing some of the results of the course helps me figure out when I'll be ready to give it a go. I'll probably sign up in a couple of months.

The thing I like about Paul's courses is that it's a one-time payment for life. If you find it hard you can just work at it at your own pace.

I can’t find the price of the course anywhere. Thanks for sharing this though. It’s very promising. Congrats on your chops.

Hi, can I ask you some questions? How is structured the course? I mean,does each level has some lessons and then a final piece of music to learn? Is usefull for guitar instrumental songwiting? Does it helps developing ear? Thank you for your answers!

There is about 7 modules with about 5-6 lessons in each module (just going off memory here). There is something to learn and play each lesson, and each one is focused around a particular technique. Every lesson in a module has the same backing track, and the last lesson in the module uses all the techniques learned throughout the module. Is it good for songwriting? Yeah I guess so. In the sense that it forces you to learn new licks you probably wouldn't have used without being taught. Is it good for developing your ear? Not really. If you want to develop your ear try transcribing some songs.

Do you think it is worth the price? And is it also for people with a good bit of experience?
@NedJeffery
@NedJeffery Жыл бұрын
He has a beginner and an intermediate course. This one seems to be slightly more advanced. As for is it worth the price? Paul does a really good job making it feel like a real 1 on 1 lesson. But if you can do the exercises all yourself you can find that stuff online for free. The real benefit is in the videos where he shows you exactly how to do it in minute detail.

Hi, Ned! Awesome playing! Thank you for you effort of putting all levels videos, it tells a lot more about the course. But now I'm kinda confused. What exact benefits of taking this course in your opinion? Solos seems like kinda easier than in Next Level Playing. Does Paul teach how to improvise and write your own music more in this course? From his site I can't really decide how exactly it differs from NLP. But I think eventually I will get it anyway.
@NedJeffery
@NedJeffery Жыл бұрын
Definately more challenging and useful than NLP in my opinion. The videos here are mostly 1 per lesson. With 5-6 lessons per module. So I've still got much further to go.

@@NedJeffery Oh! So that’s not the whole course! Awesome! Now it makes sense :D As I ser from your chanel, you’re experinced guitarist. Do you think Pauls courses can be helpful for metal/metalcore and stuff like Polyphia? I dog Pauls bluesy style, but every time I practice his lessons I remenber I’ve started my guitar joirney because of metal :) I see that Paul doesn’t use sweeps, tapping etc, but ‚m really in excersise style of Bernth teaching either…
