Was wondering if Paul is putting out guitar tab pros (.gp, .gp5 files) for the various songs/tutorials, or are all the tutorial's videos of him describing to the viewer how you would play the song? Interested in starting this course myself. I have always preferred guitar pro tabs - I learn quicker with them. Also, I appreciate these vids. A more accurate review of the course!

No guitar pro tabs unfortunately. Just a PDF, and a good 30mins video going through in song in minute detail. He gets really specific with which fingers to use and how to place them etc. Sorry it's been a while since I did the last lesson. Wife had a baby so I haven't had any time to practice in ages.

The course is unavailable now.... When will it be available again ?
@NedJeffery Жыл бұрын
I remember something about only having limited availability at first and then opening it up later to everyone. And at the end of each module they ask for feedback. So I assume they are going to collect the feedback and do tweaks and fixes before opening it up again. I get an email about each module every 10 days, the last one should arrive on the 28th. Then give 10 days for that module. Then maybe another week for edits. I expect it to be open again in mid to late April. But that's just a guess.

Very good videos of your progress on Electric Elevation course by Paul Davids, really appreciate your work, specially your series of videos, your videos are important to me because, it helps to ascertain the course contents... keep the good work pls.... My question is what level of guitar player could get the best benefit by pursuing this course.... Do basic/beginner guitarist with knowledge of notes, chords, basic theory & pentatonic etc. can pursue ?

The videos are made in such a way that a beginner could follow along. But there is an expected level of skill required. I would say have a look at lesson 5. It's more of an exercise to teach fingerpicking. You should be able to learn that by ear within 5-10 mins. Then have a look at lesson 4. You should be able to play along to some degree with some practice. Not all the techniques as you'll learn those in the course, but at least 80-90% of it. If you can do things badly at first, you can do them better with practice. If you can't do them at all, maybe better to start with his beginner course. learnpracticeplay.com/signup/

Been following you as you go through Electric Elevation. Sounding good; nice job👍 How are you liking the course?

Thanks. So far I really like the detailed lesson style. The main benefit for me is it provides a structure of what to do. And forces me to learn some things slightly out of my comfort zone, that I would have done differently just noodling on my own.

I’ve been watching your progress too. Is the course centered around playing over those backing tracks? Are more technical parts gone over like scales, arpeggios, etc?
@NedJeffery Жыл бұрын
@@LiveTheStreetLife no, it's pretty much completely devoid of exercises. The best place for that is the Bernth patreon. His thing is getting 100% perfect technique. His instructional videos are kinda short and unnecessary, but the exercises will keep you busy for decades.
