My point is: in multiple track view, it would be great to have the possibility to hide the track while it's in rest and then make it visible when it have to play. GP7.5 has been out a while now, so it's not too much of a stretch of the imagination to think GP8 will be coming down the line at some point in the not-too-distant feature. As such, we all should start requesting features we would like to see in GP8 ... My own suggestion would be to make the song tabs which appear just above the score be "movable". That is, just like in any Internet browser that has multiple tabs open, we can drag tabs to any position we like. That would be a great feature for GP when we have multiple songs open at the same time. It would be very slick to be able to simply click and drag song name tabs to any position (among the list of open songs) one I would like. If you think this would be a nice feature, please request it yourself. (There is strength in numbers. 😇😇😇)

Also,also being able to maintain different time signatures for different tracks, think Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Also, Also, Also being able to replace the sound profiles of the instruments with custom ones; I always have problem hearing the tom parts on drums when writing tabs and sheet music it would be great to be able to replace them or have an update the modifies there sound profile.

The update claims to have improved the MIDI export feature but I don't understand what that means because I'm still having a problem with tempo maps not carrying over to my DAW (Reaper). This includes both actual tempos and time signatures for each bar of the piece. If I want to make a simple click track for my drummer to follow for a song, it's a long tedious process to do an albums worth without a proper tempo map. For example, I had a project in guitar pro that started at 140 bpm, changed once to 125 bpm, and back to 140bpm with some various time signature changes scattered around. The exported midi from that file starts at 140bpm, but without the right time signature. That means the first bpm change is in the wrong place. It also changed 125bpm to 150bpm.

Would it be possible for Guitar Pro to disallow producing very high pitched sounds? For example if I'm writing tablature and I want a sound from 4th fret from the high E string, it is easy to accidentally double tap 4 and it plays sound from "44th fret" which is very ear piercing sound. Other example would be that I typed "4" but actually wanted "5" and I type it over the number "4". If I was too fast, the program thought I wanted "fret 45". It doesn't matter if the track is a stringed instrument or an orchestral instrument, this issue still persists. This wasn't possible in Guitar Pro 5. Also, would it be possible to add an option to edit the keyboard view highlight color? I find the current brown/orange color scheme unclear and difficult to gaze upon.

What about changeable Font Type and Size for String Numbers and Right and Left Hand Fingers? When changing font size for the whole file, they come unproportional. And sometimes we/our customers want the both versions (Tab+Notation/Notation only). Thank you!

I don't know if it is only me but when you tab a metal song with two guitars using MIDI, vibratos affect both guitars which is a huge no no! One guitar is only doing power chords and the solo guitar is using Vibrato. But the rhythm guitar with power chords is also affected, resulting a wrong sound. Anyone noticed it? Also, please bring back the "bend preview" as in the older versions. So that before confirming the bend we can test how it sounds. Another thing, copying bars seems to be harder in this version. As in the GP5 we could just copy bars "from... and to...". Now, I have to select/highlight all the bars manually before copying them. Thanks,

@@guitarpro hi guys is the nested tuplet now part of Guitar Pro 7.5 features? If yes how does it work? Thanks for your help
@luigipati38155 жыл бұрын
never seen them, and I have read hundreds of scores. My guess is that this 'nested tuplet' thing is just the result of cramming as many notes as possible, often because of slurs. It's probably notated better an more in general with 'accellerando' or such devices. Who's going to figure out how 17 notes fit into a quintuplet? The no. 1 thing that needs to be fixed urgently is a proper manual, and the super weird anacrusis that is found only in GP and nowhere else....it places a really dumb and totally unnecessary rest at the beginning of the anacrusis. Not only it looks amateurish, it also creates problems at the end of the score, because the last bar must be written with the anacrusis detracted. But because GP forces that stupid rest in the anacrusis, it creates a mess that cannot be submitted as professional work. The program Notion writes an anacrusis correctly and very easily, with no fuss.
@guitarpro5 жыл бұрын
Hi @@VinceTubesk Nested tuplets are not supported with Guitar Pro 7 unfortunately, but we are working on it. It is technically difficult to implement it as it affects the whole code. Custom tuplet is the only available option. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi Leander, there isn't a skin editor, but I have sent your feedback to our dev team. Thank you very much.

No 12 string guitar? With string pairs tuned to 5ths rather than octaves? How about microtonal tab for fretless users? Yeah, I know, this is some esoteric stuff.
@guitarpro4 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, in Guitar Pro 7.5 you can edit scores for 12-string guitars. you can modify the tuning and change the notes of each string. Sorry the microtonal notation is not available yet. Thank you for your comment.

I have GP 6. Is it worth the change?

Hi Martina, you can download GP 7.5 and try it for free for one month: www.guitar-pro.com/en/index.php?pg=download

And yes it's worth it 😉 If you bought GP6 you can upgrade to GP7.5 for half the price too.

has CUT TIME been added, and do PICKUP BARS look they way they should? 'cause in 6 they do not, it looks like an amateur would write an anacrusis, sorry. A pickup bar should look smaller than the others, and the note is placed at the end of the bar, not the middle.....

Hi Luigi, can you give us more details about what you would like in Guitar Pro? Have you tried our latest updated version of Guitar Pro 7? Thank you for your precious feedback, it's helping us to improve the software. You can also contact our support here and send screenshots for instance: goo.gl/tq6163

@@guitarpro , thanks. My premise here is that GP seems to be the best guitar notation software I have found so far, but some things need to be addressed effectively. I tried the latest version, pickup bars still look wrong :) a pickup bar doesn't have rests anywhere at the beginning of the bar, it only displays the pickup note or notes. This can be seen in any professional guitar score, especially classical guitar scores, where I think pickup bars are far more frequent than rock or pop guitar. You can check an intermediate classical guitar book like 'Fifty Easy Classical Guitar Solos' by Jerry Willard. You won't see anywhere, in there or similar books, pickup bars written the way are notated in GP, with the strange rest beginning at half the bar. Guitar Pro strangely forces rests before the notes in the pickup bar. I have not seen that in any guitar or even piano scores, as I mentioned. It looks weird, no pro transcriber notates pickup bars like that. The program 'Notion' writes pickup bars the correct way, but I'd prefer to work with GP as it's very specific to guitar. Also the manual is completely, completely inadequate, it's too short, and bland. The manual is a very noticeable shortcoming. It looks like a text file written in a hurry. As a user, I want to be taken - by the hand - and be shown how to use everything in the program, step by step. I am a busy musician, not a computer lover. The manual should be a tutor, not a bit of text that tells me what the signs are for but not how to notate an entire project from A to Z. Let me give an example: I was trying to add ''D.C. al coda'', so I searched 'd.c. al coda' in the manual. It returned ZERO results. I searched 'coda' and it returned a result with this: ''This function will add the Coda, Double Coda, Segno, Segno Segno and Finesymbols, as well as 11 other different types of coda jumps.'' Ok, but so what? How to I exactly add these signs? I tried to do it and I could not, because the manual doesn't explain a thing and has virtually no examples and no pictures. The manual should have copious amounts of concrete examples, and pictures, which are absolutely essential. You should assume that we have no clue about your program; a correct assumption. The manual should be embedded in the program, I find it annoying that I have to leave my workflow and hunt for the manual online, download, etc....it makes no sense. The user is buying the program to write pro scores. The instructions should be short and effective: why does the manual instructs the user as to what are the signs used in notation, etc? The manual is not an instruction book about how to use notation, it should be assumed that the user knows all that already, or if not, then this is something for a separate tutorial. Theory lessons have no place in a manual that should explain how to operate the program effectively. It is annoying to read: 'This sign is used for this or that', and then find no instructions and specific examples on how to use DC Al Coda, for example. Is there somewhere on your website that shows how to write professional scores from start to end, in several styles, i.e. classical guitar ?(that is mainly what I am using GP for, but soon I will use it for many other styles too) Another thing that makes little sense is that the project starts with a written dynamic sign, when I haven't ever entered one yet. For this reason, I have to disable dynamics entirely. This makes no sense: I should be able to decide to enter dynamics as and only when I decide to, but GP seems to go for an all-or-nothing approach. Well, that's all I can say for now, I am not by any means an advanced user, in fact I only started using the program a couple of weeks ago. I understand that I am being critical and picky, but there's no other way. I like GP and I hope I will continue to use it as I have now been asked to notate a lot of material, re-arrange, compose, etc, in other words professional work. I tried other programs like Sibelius or Finale but I'd prefer GP as it's very specific for guitar. I would recommend an excellent book called simply 'Music Notation' by Mark McGrain, it's a bit old fashioned but it's all in there :) I give you credit for having answered here, again I think GP is a great program, it just needs several tweaks, as mentioned above and in my previous comment. I am looking forward to see the improvements: these aren't based on what I like, but rather on how it works :) Thanks for reading and kind regards, Luigi Pati.

Hi@@luigipati3815 , First of all, thank you for your feedback! In Guitar Pro 7.5 you can add an anacrusis without any rests at the beginning of the bar. Bar>Anacrusis (Pickup Bar). The Guitar Pro team is currently working on a new user manual. For the Directions, here is a video that might help you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHzOp39rrNmUmLs Thank you again for your support! @@guitarpro , Thanks. ''In Guitar Pro 7.5 you can add an anacrusis without any rests at the beginning of the bar. Bar>Anacrusis (Pickup Bar)''. Sorry, but no. If I delete the rest GP puts in there, then the pickup bar looks wrong, there's a space after the note and there should not be. GP places the note at the beginning of the bar or something. I have learned to minimize this problem by using 'design mode', but then I have to modify all the bars that come after. Doable, but too fiddly. I stand by what I wrote earlier: the program Notion does it correctly, very easily, I select 'pickup bar' and a pickup bar it becomes. I still prefer GP for the guitar. And yes, we need a really in depth manual, packed with pictures, examples and tutorials, like most other professional software. You have to assume we can barely send an email. I always choose my software based on how well and quickly I can learn to use it. I am sure GP can turn out to be the ONLY notation program for pro guitarists. :) Thanks for the video link.

People at guitarpro are shit! GP6 has been sitting online and not improve for many years. When i finally come across it sometime ago, i bought it to try it out as it seems helpful to guitar players like myself. At the point of my purchase, there is totally no news or even a single hint on their website whatsoever that GP7 is coming out soon. And what the fuck, just a few months after i bought the GP6, version 7 was released. I emailed them and expressed my unhappiness cos if they were to inform me that ver7 is coming out soon, i would rather wait awhile and purchase version7 instead of the many years old and outdated version6. And guess what, those people from guitar pro didn't even reply my email at all!! Despite the fact that i am their genuine customer looking for aftersales response! So fuck it! I m not even using GP6 now. I rather write my notes with pen and papers!!! You guys are cheat!!!!
