Why it doesn't sound so distortioned in my case?
@GurtejSinghGuitar
@GurtejSinghGuitar 3 жыл бұрын
Maybe check the 'Input' and 'Output' settings at the top of the interface. Try increasing the input level to see if it helps. Also, if you have the 'Gate' next to it on, try to reduce it and see. Also, every guitar is different, you can always add more distortion and drive if needed. Hope this helps.

@@GurtejSinghGuitar thank you for replying Sir i really appreciate your help, my issue is that i can get a very good guitar sound from guitar rig, my boss katana or anything else, but when i record my sounds comes out very digital and wont sound even as 50% good comparing to your sound or any other youtuber patch that i have tried, some say that its about mixing and eq and doing stuff after recording, and some say that i have to get an expensive audio interface, so im actually lost to be honest, and i would be very grateful if you can give me some tips on how to get a proper sound and get rid of my frustration. and thank you again Sir.
@GurtejSinghGuitar
@GurtejSinghGuitar 4 жыл бұрын
Apologies for the late reply. Tone is a very subjective matter. In my opinion, most of our tone resides in our fingers. You may have heard many say this as well. But I have observed this over many years of playing that although good gear does matter, what matters more is how you play. Now, I havent heard you play so I am not saying that your playing isnt good. Before I got the Axe FX, I used to mainly play on guitar rig only. I also found my tone to be quite fizzy and not so good. But as I practiced more, I found that my ears and hands got cleaner and my perception of tone completely changed. And I started to find my own sound. So, my best advice would be, practice a lot. Would love to hear how your tone sounds at the moment. Hope this helps!

Can you try to play around with the 'tone' knob in the screamer? maybe that should add some top end to your tone? Or try to change the Presence and Treble knobs of the amp to have more top-end. Hope this helps! Thanks for your feedback :)

does the guitar really important? i mean the hardware of the guitar itself
@GurtejSinghGuitar
@GurtejSinghGuitar 4 жыл бұрын
The hardware and the guitar are important to some extent. Like obviously a good pair of humbuckers would sound better for Petrucci tones, than single coil pickups for example. Other than that, I think that you can always tweak the tone to make it sound great on your guitar. Hope this helps!
@lucastacconi688

Yes, really important. I changed all my pickups of my cheap strat for good ones and the difference is HUGE. New and good strings with nice pickups will make incredible difference.
