Fun fact! Each of the songs we hear are ones Bocchi wrote while thinking about one of the band members. The first song she wrote about herself. The second one, which we heard today, was about Ryo.

I love the ending song for this episode~ it's one of Nijika's songs~ each member has 2 songs each. List: Bocchi - "Guitar Loneliness and Blue Planet", and her cover of "Rock'n Roll, Morning Light Falls on You" by (Asian Kung-fu Generations) Kita - "Distortion!!" and "If I could be a Constellation" (my fave song) Ryo - "That Band" and "Karakara" Nijika - "What is wrong with" (the song that played this episode) and "Never Forget"

It's really woorth checking out, it instantly made me love the series even more, and made Seika my favourite character in the manga. It's chapter 61 for those who want to read it, it just the backstory, so no need to worry about spoilers or anything like that.

it might've been hard to hear, but they actually made the song off-beat and dissonant (the first one) and kita's singing is super off-key. But I might only be able to tell because I watched the show already, so maybe if you listen to it again you'll be able to tell, idk tho lol, (also love nijika and her sister smm)

i didnt really notice it my first watch through but i found it interesting i watched a musician react to the show and he actually noticed before bocchi point it out he was like "oh no they are kinda messing up"

The first song during the live performance was less energetic. Soon as Bocchi started her solo for the 2nd song I could tell it was already more brighter and more energetic.

It is pretty hard for non-musicians to pick up how the band was a bit off on the first song. Hitori noticed things like Nijika being off beat and Kita hitting notes that she wasn't supposed to. She has her own reasons for rocking that solo at the beginning of the second song, but to me, it was like her way of telling the rest of the band "I will set the pace and lead the way. Follow me."

Lots of little details in that second song. For one you can see the exact moment that Nijika realizes Bocchi is guitarhero. For another Bocchi is leading in the second song, which is why Kita keeps glancing back at her to make sure she's on time. Ryo and Nijika are more experienced musicians so they don't have to.

Saw a picture the other day that someone made where Starry flooded and the image showed Seika and Nijika standing at the top of the stairs down to Starry front door, water filling the stairway up to above the entry door. Both look distressed and you could tell they had been crying. Outside of IRL pictures of tragedy, that was probably the saddest I have felt looking at a photo :( Seeing this episode in this reaction reminded me of it

It's honestly a little surprising to me how many people don't hear how unsynchronized they were during that first song. I guess just having done music as a hobby has kind of trained my ears more? I could feel my body react to the mistakes they were making. And I also felt how disheartening it is. Used to be in a similar rock band and I have experienced an "off" performance. The mood of the band really plummets. You realize the mistake but you can't exactly redo when you're on stage. You're just left with the sh*tty performance. Kessoku band is lucky to have Bocchi set the pace for the next song. Otherwise, they'd just be down in the dumps afterwards, probably for days. Feels terrible when all the practice leads up to an underwhelming final performance. I feel like the studio actually had the band intentionally perform badly just for this episode. Which they could very well have done during production. These songs were written specifically for this anime after all. Also... if you don't know yet, Kita's VA is actually legit the one singing during the songs. She probably does a cuter voice when Kita's just speaking but that singing voice might be her more natural timbre.

Never once i seen channel reaction that immediately point out the flaw in their first song. Its clear as day that the studio tried to make it sounds bad even without Bocchi explanation. It bugged me how off everything are and i have zero knowledge about music. And also the fact Kita always looking at Boochi in admiration on stage.

I've seen several reactions of this show, and every time this episode comes up I read a ton of comments saying how the people recording the band actually went and played and sang poorly for the first song. And every time I can't tell the difference XD
