I wasn't a Bonamassa fan at first. This is like the fourth interview I've watched with him. Man he's so down-to-earth, and so knowledgeable. Then when he talked about a world without B.B. King it almost brought me to tears. Now I love the guy.

Suddenly dawned on me. Joe Bonamassa is a little bit like Jay Leno. They are not only players and drivers, they're collectors. And the nice part is they use and share their collection.

I grew up in the 60's and 70's and life got busy in the 80's, 90's and beyond, and I pretty much took a break from music, just lost interest. That changed when I discovered youtube a few years back, and Joe not long after. I really like this self described geek. One hell of a player, yes, but a really passionate and humble guy. Jam on, Joe.

Joe is my absolute favorite blues-rock performer, his voice also gives a particular uniqueness to the songs, - personally I just LOVE Joe's voice....... - Joe's old friend B.B. King nailed it when he said of the then 12-year old; Joe is - ’One of a Kind!’ . . . . . . . . . .

It pleases me to hear about the families coming out to hear the blues... (2020 now) Maybe music will rediscover its value through Joe and he will be the one who inspires the next Elvis, Clapton or the next Led Zeppelin, Floyd, Rolling Stones. Thanks Joe.

Someone can go out on that stage with an acoustic guitar and you can hear them all the way at the top of the venue without a PA the natural acoustics of that place is absolutely phenomenal!! And yes I grew up in Denver and I actually played there in 1977 using a Shure vocal master PA which is kind of funny how he said that

Awesome collection,, we have over 50 vintage guitars,, 34 gibson acoustic the oldest, nothing better than picking up an old guitar, and making it decent to play, bringing it to life,, we don't usually pick up anything from the mid 80's up,, we have a later year Les Paul black beauty and a 74 mustang,, i taught my son (Jesse) a few chords and licks,, needless to say he is a guitar wizard,,, he already is writing, singing and knows so many scales and chords,, its unreal,, i took him to see you in concert in Amarillo, Tx a couple of years ago and he is a BIG fan of yours,,, hopefully one day we will find an old Stratocaster or Les Paul,, it just takes time,,, America has turned sooo much talent to trash,, rapping and screaming,, there is so much actual great music of the past,, our younger generation needs to learn and hold on to,, they need to pick up an instrument and learn,,

I have an early 73 embossed cover LP Custom BB FW that's beat to hell. Best friggen guitar I have ever owned of > 200 axes. This Custom always sucks root when you pick it up. Then, about 10 minutes later, it starts to bloom as it warms up. 5 minutes after that, ya can't put it down. If you have the chops to give it, it returns them 10 fold. No other way to say it.... it's just magic.

It's really no different than using headphones or earbuds, they all wreck your hearing over time. In the case of Joe, he also plays extremely loud.

I generally find this to be untrue. You spend the real money and get a pair that is custom molded to your ears, and they will (most likely) be usable at lower volumes.
@davecarsley8773
@davecarsley8773 5 жыл бұрын
They don't. Joe just hasn't played in a rock band. If he had, he'd understand that they PROTECT your hearing. Pretty obvious when you've used them and heard the ringing in your ears after every show suddenly go away.

Can't help but think the way he called Ryan Adams a 'kid' was with a negative connotation. Funny for several reasons as I think Ryan is older than Joe, Ryan actually writes his own music that is a joy to listen to, and he is arguably a better (definitely more original) guitar player.
