I just picked up a mint condition one in Blade Grey. I remember when I first started learning to play electric guitar they were new and I remember seeing the ads and promo banners in the store and wishing I could get one. Over 20 years later I made that wish come true.

I really want one but they’re all super expensive and even the ones in the 1000-2000 range all have cracks in paint

I still have my K7. bought it back in 2006 from an Ibanez rep. I ordered the Blade grey (heads version) but when delivered personally by my Ibanez rep, it was the fire spark Blue. I waited laid 8 months for this, so I just took the Blue model. these days all that is left originally is the neck and body. everything else is different. FIshman fluence pickups, Hipshot Tuners, and I have blue LED's in the neck. its one of my favorite sounding guitars still though.

I have the same model autographed my Brian, drew KoRn across the body and signed his name on the back of the head stock

Great review, hard to imagine that this is the only proper review of the blade grey K7 on youtube. Love that color! I'd love to buy one for myself as well.

I have the dark blue version of it. But I don’t think that K-7 i made anymore, since Head and Munky went over to Jackson or Schetor... i dont remember... I just know that I got mine used.

Ibanez K7 was in production in 2001-2006. I have a 2001 Blade Grey K7, plays and sounds great. I'm currently in the process of buying Munky's signature Ibanez Apex30.

Munky is still with Ibanez, Head moved to ESP/LTD in 2016/17.

@@pistonhedd Son of a dick? LOL. I also have Head's ESP LTD SH-7 ET which is a great guitar, too. I'm expecting Apex30 to be even better, though. I prefer Dimarzio's sound over Fishman Fluences.
@alijankhan33303 жыл бұрын
@@Kornholic I'm not sure which one to get. Which pickups do you think have a closer Korn sound? The fishmans on the sh-7 are just stock, right? They aren't a custom signature head model?

Are used to have that exact guitar. But I just can’t get over the K7 inlay. If they came without that, they would’ve been perfect.

Awesome guitar's when they were in production, though expensive (1,299 UK pound sterling), the Grey model was my fav. out of the two (Munky's colour choice, Head's was the Blue one). If I could have one day, I would either that or the APEX200/30 \,,/
@samhughes60073 жыл бұрын
The guitar he's using is actually my one. I bought it about 6 maybe 7 years ago. It was a B stock that the person i bought it from purchased with the intention of forming a Korn tribute band. He never used it and apart from a minor ding on the side the guitar is pretty much perfect. It cost me about £1000 all them years ago and they seem to be getting harder and harder to find these days and still command a lot of money.
@pistonhedd3 жыл бұрын
@@samhughes6007 Yeah they are expensive, especially now their long discontinued, it were bad enough when they were in production. The prestige APEX models are the same.
