Omg that is everything I love about the guitar, how you can go from a whisper to a howling, full throated soulscream, literally within fractions of a _second._ How the guitar seduces you, tells you, _"I am yours, to sing through, cry through, rage through, love through..., _pray_ through...I am the control panel for your soul." Andy Timmons just did all of that. Beautiful.🤜💥🤛

This is my first time hearing Andy Timmons and my first thought is; “Why did I wait so long?” I really liked how he didn’t show his hand right away, he gave us little hints but kept it melodic the whole time. The bassist’s beginning melody is just so achingly beautiful that you want to listen more and as the song goes, it just gets better and better. Wow, thank you, Michael once again.

One word always stands out to me describing Timmons is "Dynamic". From soft phrasing to full on face melting shred.

I remember learning to play this track for my channel. It's definitely much harder and cleaner than it seems. I decided to do it without the backing track just to see if I'm up to the task. Just like you said. A lot of work, but so worth it.

Andy is part of my Holy Trinity of modern guitar heroes for me. I love all the players I grew up learning from: Page, Hendrix, Lindsey Buckingham, Steve Lukather, John Sykes and the mighty Gary Moore. But when it comes to who I really admire and strive to learn from these days, It's Andy Timmons, Nick Johnston and Petrucci. Andy is a magic player. "The Prayer, The Answer", "That Day Came", and even the demo video for his new Halo pedal is soooo powerful. I always wondered why certain players used the same guitar all the time when I rotated 10-15. Andy almost always has his sig Ibanez with the pickguard broken on the lower horn. When I got a PRS594, suddenly the rest of my guitars are really lonely, I get it. Mine's a Semi-Hollow SingleCut. I really like your DC, I almost got one of those instead.

Mesa/Boogie is usually thought of as high gain, metal amps, but actually they have an entire line of amazing, high-end amps. From Vox, Fender, Marshall, Dumble, etc., they have something for everyone. My main gigging amp is a Mesa Electra Dyne. It sounds so incredible; I love it. The only thing is that is soooooooo heavy, and soooooooo LOUD!

This is also the best live recording of Electric Gypsy...His tone is absolutely monstrous...Also in the few sections that he leaves free for a bit of improv he has the best note selection in this performance...That outside note is a lick he uses in Electric Gypsy a fair bit.

YES! This piece took me forever to learn the tapped harmonics and that first fast lick, his phrasing is just unreal. Cry for you is another killer track by him.

Awesome! Thank you for picking my suggestion! This song by Andy has become one of my favorite songs of all time. That main melodic opening riff is just beautiful and has been on repeat in my head ever since I first heard this song. Love seeing your reactions to his playing here, especially when he goes on his explosive runs and his mesmerizing melodical phrasing. Such a unique and masterful guitarist, indeed! Also, you were close with pronouncing my name, haha. It is Hungarian, and it is pronounced "Yo-shjef", combining the 'sh' and 'j' into one letter sound. It's kind weird and unique, but I've become fond of it over time actually. But again, thank you for choosing my suggestion! If you decide to do a deep dive into Andy, I look forward to it very much! Cheers!

God damn bud. Seeing you back at it with such unabashed enthusiasm has been so refreshing. As artists, we always have to deal with the highs and lows. Some days, we have inspiration in abundance. Others, we forget what inspiration even felt like. But I think I can speak for all of us in this. Seeing a fellow artist in the midst of a personal renaissance? It's just an absolute pleasure to witness. Makes me feel all warm n fuzzy inside. As a dude, this makes me uncomfortable. Gonna need you to quit it.

regarding that Bb note, andy was probably thinking BmM7 (melodic minor) to give a subtle tension or you can also think Bb as part of the A altered scale and resolving to the tonic (V to I).
