as a guitar player, the guitar is clearly insane... but Jojo's base playing has always stuck out to me because it adds SO much to the sound. Really like a Base and a rythm guitar all in one.

Los Lonely Boys are one of those bands I forget about constantly. Their "top 40ish" hits like Heaven are great but when you get in to the rest of their stuff it's like a whole different level. The whole band is just badass.

I didn’t know who these guys were when they played Willie Nelson’s picnic in Austin. They were unannounced surprise guest but thrown up after all the other heavy weights and just before Willie. I thought “WTF?” Why are these guys who I’ve never heard of put into this slot. When they hit the stage my jaw hit the ground…..and stayed there. They blew me the F away! Thanks for covering one of the most underrated guitarist ever.

That looks like Reese Wynans (SRV and Bonamassa) on keys. I would be up for the long version. I'm an intermediate player/hobbyist and I'm stuck in the pentatonic so learning how to embellish would be wonderful. I love knowing the theory but I especially love being able to apply that knowledge in real time in a the context of a song. That's what I feel like I'm getting in your vids so thanks, appreciate it!

These videos are great, and I wouldn't mind longer more in-depth videos! I always love hearing the music/songs broken down and explained! I don't know if you'd be interested in going into genres that you're not into/used to, but as a big fan of more extreme metal I'd love to see your breakdown of some stuff I listen to most. 2 that I'd be super interested in would be Daath 'From the Blind'. I've always loved most of the music writing of that band. They don't have any live videos of it, but there is a video of just the guitar players doing a playthrough called "Daath Shred Electric Guitar on FPE-TV" but the audio quality isn't the best (not horrible though). I believe it's tuned to Drop C. The other one that's a lot more technical is the band Inferi. They're super talented guys from Nashville. They have several videos of them doing guitar playthroughs where you can see everything. I think they tune to C standard. They do a lot of technical stuff, but they do it in a way that is (to me) still musical, rather than just shreddy stuff. They know when to do something more simple and melodic in service of the song. Any of their 2018/2019 guitar playthrough videos would do, but I'd pick 'Thy Menacing Gaze' or 'Condemned Assailant" personally.

Played a festival with them in Oregon a a few years ago. Their crew was really cool. However, no one was allowed to talk to them at all. They stayed at the hotel until right before time and sat in the very back of the 20 person van. Then stayed away from everyone, played their set, and left. Was the strangest. But we had a great time back stage with all the other bands.
