This argument that you are the only one that can bring you down is a pleasant falsity. A murderer can bring you down. What is happening politically and what this song is talking about is figurative murder. You saying that you are apolitical and that you don’t vote or don’t get involved is what allows those Rich Men North of Richmond to figuratively murder you and cause the troubles they are causing. Otherwise good video.

I watched Oliver's video last night. I've been watching reaction videos ever since. What struck me most about your reaction was that you completely forgot that you're a guitar teacher and you're used to reacting by talking about the picking and the chord progressions. But his song is so powerful that he captured you completely. He's had that effect on me, you, and millions of people worldwide. The sky is the limit for this song. In the past 12 hours, he's gained 2 MILLION more views. there are over 60,000 comments on his video. It's earth shattering.

I've got to be completely honest. This song made me so emotional! I'm almost 35 and have a wife and an almost 4 year old son. I work 80+ hours a week and I'm lucky to have a day off. This song speaks the truth! God bless all of you blue collared people out there like myself who work hard and are just barely scraping by like myself.

My granddaughter is pregnant with her 2nd son. The first is 2. Her husband works 60 hours a week on a road crew in New Mexico. 100 plus degree temps in the desert. Busts his ass for that shit pay. Good kids seriously scraping by living in an RV following the work. This song made me cry as their grandma. I sent it to them in solidarity to let them know someone else knows what they are going through and they are not alone.

The temperatures hit 100+ every day at work so I both know and share his pain but It's 110+ worth every drop of sweat, every ache and every morning you'd much rather throw the alarm clock through the wall and call Into work. Just being able to pay the bills and provide everything that my wife and son needs every week Is thanks enough for me. Seeing my sons face light up when he gets to pick out his weekly toy and the feeling of him standing at the front door as I pull up In the driveway every evening Is well worth any and everything work may throw my way. Prayers for you, your daughter and son. I pray she has a wonderful and safe pregnancy and delivery!

This guy is just incredible and super humble. Just read an article where he stated "I've been offered multi-million dollar deals, but I don't want the fame and money. I wrote this song because of the mental state I was in." That's not word for word but close to what he said. That's a true and real musician. He tells a story. Exudes emotion.

Then why do so many of you hard-working, blue collar people in the flyover states continue to support and vote for a serial conman like defendant Trump, whose biggest achievement in office was to explode the deficit via gifting massive tax breaks to millionaires, billionaires and corporations, so that in his one and only four year term he alone is responsible for one quarter of the total US deficient from all of the time between George Washington and Joe Biden? While at the same time cutting back on many of the things that would help you hard-working, blue collar people in the flyover states. He has pulled off the biggest smoke and mirrors con trick in US history by convincing people with little, that he has their best interests at heart, while actually doing what benefits the wealthy like him and his own kind. Wake up America!

@@johnbags2525No, he's not. There are people who are weirdly political who pretend they are not political at all and are free thinkers, but when there's a viral incident or talking point in the partisan media that speaks to their biases, they go out all over the internet and comment on videos and posts for creators they never knew about before just to insert their politics into new places. That's when you get cringy comments like this. These people pretend like they are enlightened and everyone who disagrees with them is a 🐑 who is brainwashed by their media, but they somehow all say the same things about the same viral conversation piece that they were told about by the same partisan media as everyone else talking about it. It's so predictable, and I found it hilarious that this artist bashed the GOP for using this song at their debate and trying to co-opt his message when he says this song is as much about them and the media that hyped the song in the first place as it is about the machine on the other side of the aisle. And before anyone calls me out, I think this is a good song by a talented artist, and the problem I'm talking about happens on both sides of the aisle. Politics just makes people turn their brains off and act like weirdos.

We all need to know the EMBEZZLING SCAM the liars in power have been doing so we can change the inhumane system and realize the readily available solutions to IMPROVE our lives, like the Job Guarantee, as one example (see the proposal by Pavlina Tcherneva). We also need to know Jury Nullification so the corrupt oppressors can't keep incarcerating everyone. But mainly, we need to know how the sociopathic money ADDICTS in power have been embezzling fiat government money so we can end their reign; they are totally derelict in their duty and unfit to govern. Here is the MINIMUM we need to know: Remember Henry Ford said that there would be "revolution before tomorrow morning" if the people know how the money system actually worked? Well, the corrupt sociopaths in power know that government money can be issued IN ANY AMOUNT for anything that is physically possible, and they have arranged scams for decades to EMBEZZLE that money! The major one is "privatization", where they pretend they will run something better than the government and "like a business", but this scam is designed so they can bill the government ANY AMOUNT, providing massive exec salaries and insanely high profits. Wall Street firms fall over each other to invest - so do most Congress (or Parliament) members - when these entities are put on the stock market, because they know that profits are guaranteed via fiat government money. They all know that government money is NOT OUR TAXES, and that countries that issue their own currency do NOT have an actual "national debt" that the liars love to fearmonger us about, etc. We need to know what they want kept hidden from us. The US has been taking over countries since WW2 to do this embezzling scam and has built a corruption cartel of many lapdog countries; the liars demonize any leader who does not submit, to manipulate public opinion so we go along with the coups, invasions, assassinations, etc. The US also directs the WHO, created the WEF, and monolithic entities like Blackrock, Vanguard and others got so big by participating in the embezzling globally! We need to see the BS and FIGHT the lunatic money addicts and their inhumanity. They lie us into wars & then embezzle most of the war money through "privatized" war companies, incarcerate people to enrich themselves via "privatized" prisons. "Privatized" healthcare enriches insurance companies and related companies & investors, another corruption scam where they get torrents of government money but do NOT spend it on the healthcare people need. Vax companies and the digital ID systems to subjugate us are also privatized! So are all the entities to track and control us that the liars pretend are to "help the climate": social credit, ESG, carbon tracking, digital bank currency, 15-minute cities and more. The scheme was to get TRILLIONS from many governments FOREVER while ensuring we could not rise up to stop their corruption, tyranny and inhumanity. (Pretending there is not enough energy, oil, food is how they will try to force us to get those digital IDs - they will say it is so we can get our "rations" and UBI etc to try to survive.) This electronic prison to subjugate is being finalized, so time is running short for us to expose them and stop their plans for us. They use cloaking terms like "private" prisons, "for profit" healthcare, "public-private partnerships", etc, because they know that there is public backlash against privatization; we should always push back and use the CORRECT term when they do this. Currently, public education is being privatized by calling it "school choice" and "charter schools". The lunatic money addicts in power lie, destroy and KILL for more "money fixes". They are totally derelict in their duty and UNFIT TO GOVERN and should face charges of dereliction of duty, violating the Constitution, embezzling federal money, crimes against humanity, violating the Nuremberg code, war crimes and more

@sandra, truth IS NOT SUBJECTIVE. Either something is true, based on OBJECTIVE FACTS, or it’s not. Therefore, there’s NO SUCH THING as “my truth”, or “our truth”, or “your truth”, because that implies that truth differs according to each person, that it’s based on feelings, which are subjective, rather than facts, which are objective. There’s only THE TRUTH, based on FACTS, which don’t care about your feelings (or mine, or anyone else’s). Anything other than fact based truth is propaganda. The world is full of people pushing propaganda out and calling it “truth”. Learn the difference, because truth is very important. Whenever I hear someone say “my truth”, etc., my mind immediately recognizes they are putting out propaganda, trying to push their feelings as being truth, and it’s not. Just like when I hear “THE science”, which can never be questioned, I immediately recognize it as being a Iie, pseudoscience, propaganda, because Science is based on questions, and if you’re not allowed to question the validity of something, then it’s NOT true Science. How in the world has society come to a point where they don’t know truth IS NOT subjective, and true Science INVITES people to QUESTION IT? The dumbing down of society is on open display by people who don’t know these 2 FACTS.
@BenMyattt

@@Redeemed.of.YHVH.thru.Christthat’s the problem. People think Truth is “Subjective” because society has aloud them to do so. The Sky is Blue is TRUTH. Water is wet is a TRUTH. People don't need to be reminded that it's up to them, that they can improve their lot. The song doesn't make people weep in sorrow, it makes them weep in a cathartic and joyful way. Revolution. We need to be able to discuss it like adults. Change is inevitable. We can let it happen to us, or we can acknowledge our agency and responsibility. Revolution will eventually come sooner or later as it always does. Revolution does not need to be violent, though bad actors may take peaceful options out of our hands. However, the harder we work NOW, the less blood may be shed later. Good luck!

Well. With any luck, the people perpetrating evil, will notice that there are tens of millions in the US sick of them and hundreds of millions sick of them across the planet. And they might do a few calculations, sit back, and decided that they might have enough for the time being and wander off to the next Epstein Island for a few years to leave the rest of the planet to heal from their utter corrupting influence. And if you believe that might happen, I have a bridge for sale.

Glorious song. Speaking from the heart and pouring everything out. Brings goosebumps and makes you close your eyes in understanding. There is a reason you don't see this on mainstream channels.

Love that this song made an 'emotional stop' mid-way through for you to listen to the words and the acoustics became 'secondary for a brief moment in time 💗
