If the bass is playing something that isnt part of the major triad shouldn't it have the proper suffix? Like d/f# I think is right because f# is part of d major anyways, but shouldn't c/b be cmaj7/b? Just a music theory question

Who else though this would be like chords that Slash uses on his songs HAHAHAHAHAHA like how Angus Young chords are basically open chords with muted bottoms and distortion hahahahaha
