Great craftsmanship, very nice woods and voicing. You made that piece sing Lucas, like always. :-) Very nice guitar.

Ted makes some beautiful beautiful stuff, and his selection of lumber is top-notch! Thank you so much for your kind words on the playing and the instruments. I really appreciate it and I’m sure Ted does as well.

The SJ knocked my socks off and I love the demo you played on it, but the SS Dread was also impressive! The engineering, sound and sensitivity to design aesthetic make these incredibly desirable instruments. I love the line Ted used: "they don't know they're guitars yet" -- that was brilliant. So when are you recording an acoustic instrumental album with these? ; ))
@LucasHaneman7 ай бұрын
I agree, Ted is a brilliant mind when it comes to design and these guitars sound great! Unfortunately for me, I don’t really have room in the arsenal for another acoustic guitar L O L, but Megan and I are working on an acoustic album right now. It would be cool if one of these could make a cameo appearance. Should it be in the cards to borrow one for a little while. For the album, I’ve been using my Peggy White guitars, my old faithful dreadnaught built by Pat Hawley and my Gretsch resonator

@@LucasHaneman your collection is leagues above most musician's collection of instruments, and you make them sing like no other. I look forward to the release of an acoustic album -- now I'm excited!!!

@@guyb7005 ah thanks Guy. We are excited for it as well. I really don’t know when the release date will be as we are still in the recording process, not yet mixing, but when it does come out, we will certainly keep you in the loop, my friend! We are taking our time with it and making sure we do it right. The band is also in the process of recording some new stuff, but the album that I think is going to come together first most likely will be my next solo effort. I’ve been using the Home studio to track myself playing drums, bass, guitar, and a little bit of keyboard for an instrumental solo album. I’m hoping to at least release that one this year if nothing else. It’s a lot of fun to track all these instruments and I’ve been also using the new solo album as an opportunity to try and learn how to mix. That has certainly been a process, but an educational one nonetheless. Who knows, I may end up tearing my mixes down to get it mixed by someone else who knows more about the process, but time will tell. At the end of the day it’s all about continually learning. Keeps life exciting! Regarding the Guitar stable yes you are right. I certainly count myself blessed and lucky to have the instruments I do. In my head, I picture myself eventually, dwindling it all down to a couple really great guitars by the time I’m an old man, but for the time being having options is part of the daily excitement to practice my butt off for as many hours a day as possible and record all this material. :-)

@@LucasHaneman I've bought an interface to learn mixing and dabble with tracks, but for lack of time, maybe I should leave that to professional musicians and engineers. Though I agree with you, always fun to learn new things. When you become an old man, I picture a Sotheby's guitar auction à la Clapton and David Gilmour!!! ok, maybe a degree or two more affordable ; ))
@LucasHaneman7 ай бұрын
Oh, so cool to hear that you have an interface Guy! If you haven’t tried to record and mix yourself, you really should. It’s honestly one of my favourite things to do and I think most people who get into it a little bit enjoy the process after sometime experimenting. There’s a bit of a learning curb but ultimately it’s a lot of fun. It can improve your playing in exponential ways in all honesty With regards to the Guitar auction thing, I’d say my auction would be quite a few rings more affordable, but nonetheless, I appreciate the thought. Haha as long as they go to players and don’t end up under someone’s bed I’ll be happy.

I'd go, but that's a ten hour drive... my back hurts just thinking about it. Hope you have fun though! Reporting in on the state of expensive Collings; my other guitars are plotting to murder it, I can tell. Jealousy is a terrible thing. LOL!
@LucasHaneman7 ай бұрын
Yes, 10 hour drives are never fun, so I get it. Hahaha. You’d better go out and get your Collings a bulletproof vest and tell it to take shelter. L O L. Glad to hear you’re loving it so much Somehow I’m not surprised.

@@LucasHaneman Well after watching literally ALL the reviews and every last one saying it's either the best or one of the best they've ever played, I figured it was a decent bet :) It paid off!

@@mooseymoose yeah for sure. Is that the one with the Dearmond or filteredtron pickups or something like that? I believe I heard about this Guitar when I watched a rig rundown he was doing couple years ago. I know he has two signature guitars with them and one of them is an OM with Adirondack and mahogany. Apparently it sounds great as well. Edit … above when mentioning pickups I meant to write “ filtertron*
