I’ve been asked several times to put up tutorials on how I play some blues songs, so I thought I’d give it a shot! I hope this helps! Link to my cover: • Love in Vain - Robert ...

As a 71 year old Delta blues nut and avid finger picker. I couldn’t be happier than to see a young man like you Daniel embracing this music. I hope you turn on more young people to this fantastic and fundamental music.

Thank you! It is truly the best music and I hope that through people like us who still love it and share it, it will keep growing in reach!

I am 74 and an avid guitar player since a teen n a KZbin addict and let me say that your playing and teaching method is refreshing and wonderful. I only just discovered you tonight and I am familiar with all the tube teachers. ( I am a huge fan of many of them including Justin …. Andy … James James … Kirby … Marty Music & even Party Marty ... to name a few thnx to them all too ) Subscribed n liked. P.S. I know many are headless but this face to face I like more and I still see the hands n finger action just fine. Please don’t change anything 🎉 👍 it all works

Not only are you a Natural born guitar player but you are a Naturally gifted teacher - - - and to top it off you have an UNnatural reverence for the past classics!!! That makes you really special and a find ! And YES, we did learn guitar to impress the chicks n be cool .... in the beginning anyway ...but we did find out later in life what a great friend the guitar can be .... lifelong. Love your respect and fondness for the past ..... especiallly pleasing coming from a young person. Keep your vids just like this one. BTW ... have you ever seen a player named Naudo on youtube? You should! He does gigs in Tenerife .... check him out.

Went looking for a Love in Vain tutorial, as I also enjoy RJ's music and found your version, wow just great. I liked your teaching style, was good to follow. This lead me obviously to all your music which I'm no doubt going to enjoy. So thank you for what you've done thus far. I'll also put my hand up for more RJ tutorials and also maybe some bottleneck blues. Cheers 😀

Just subscribed after learning your Ramblin on My Mind song in Open D..any chance you could do a Tutorial on your Howlin Wolf Killing Floor song? No biggie if not,, really digging your song selection. This Love in Vain tutorial is really great and easy to follow--thanks much.

Thanks for the tutorial much appreciated, but how do you end the song ie after the final turn around?
@danielbyrdmusic88247 ай бұрын
Usually, I either go back to the I chord (in this case an A7) or I slide up to it from a half step down (so in this case it would be from low E to high E a x-0-1-1-1-2 then slide up to x-0-2-2-2-3)!

I'm not sure if I could handle some of those stretches.

Yeah, admittedly the stretches in this one are tough! It took me a long time to get my hands to do them 😅
