I think it's an amazing pedal. The drives showcased here all sounded great.

sounds great to me

Thats the problem with modelling. The basis modeled sound remains the same just with nuance changes. I can take two analog pedals of the ones modeled in the zoom and they will sound WAY different to each other compared to the modeled ones . A good video to demonstrate this fact.

I wrote a comment correcting you but honestly, you're right. In most cases I'd say this kind of comment is guitar player hogwash, but even the fuzzes and ODs have a kind of similar vibe. I think a lot of that is eqing though.

I still do think the variety is cool, and it should allow people who like to tweak things to find unique sounds. It's still a pretty cool pedal. I respect this more than a lot of boutique wankery.

how would you use this with the ms 50G+?
@robertmunson5412Ай бұрын
Sounds like everything Zomm made in the last 30 years. Great as long as you keep the volume down, but once you turn it up, it's really bad.

It’s a lesson to realize that not everything sounds. It’s best turned up. It should form your perspective from an audio engineers point of view that sometimes less is more Whether it solid state or tube amplification.
@robertmunson5412Ай бұрын
@@djbmanifestomode No, it's a lesson that as a musician, you need gear that not only sounds good when you are able to use it with low volume like in a practicing or recording situation, but still can hold its ground in a rehearsal room or at a gig, when you need to be louder. And I didn't mean it sounds bad when you actually turn the thing itself up, but also when you are using it in front af an amp that is cranked, or going direct to PA. And this is what Zoom always is like. Sounds as good as any Boss or Line 6 or Korg Unit at low volumes, but as soon as you get to higher volumes, you clearly hear were the extra money you spent on a Boss Multi FX is going.

Bollocks. Zoom g11 sound amazing cranked up listen to Eystchpi42 or other guitarists online even they disagree with that

*I was told this also has multiband equalizers and parametric equalizers that can be used with 2 stacked drives, is that accurate?* If it has wideband equalizers, I will skip the MS-50G+ I was planning to buy. While I desire reverb in processor, I'm all in for that many dirty preamps. *P.S. one of the mistakes everyone makes with digital is relying on it for significant amounts of gain. Most digital modelers can have a high gain analog pedal placed in front of them so you can get a ton of high gain by overdriving the digital modeler but you don't get the loss of response and sound quality that tends to occur from using a lot of digital gain. I have a Valeton GP-200 and if I use it for most of my gain, it starts to sound low end but with my analog overdrive plugged into it for 60% of all total gain, the entire rig remains to sound analog even run into a valve amp.
