I was thinking the same thing when I saw this video. I didn't know who they were until I saw The Pretender cover show up on the side. It's pretty obvious that Julia and Rena are the most well rounded between musical and vocal skills. If it truly was about "artistic differences" it usually takes a couple of albums before you make major changes. I'm guessing that it was probably more about egos. I'm not sure if it was about Julia getting too big of a head for being the center of attention or that the others were getting envious of that attention. Hell, even Alex and Eddie put up with David Lee for several albums before ganging up on him and he didn't even play an instrument. lol

I was in a band in high school. After a couple of years the other guys wanted to change our sound, I wasn't interested, but even though I started the thing, I left, or was pushed out. It happens, creative people, sometimes need to go in separate directions. A lot of talent in this band, hopefully they will all find success.

In an interview, Julia actually said "....They had their differences with me, obviously. As some people might have imagined, there was definitely a lack of communication and respect, and it became a very uncomfortable environment for me. But like I said, in the end I really did not expect them to do this." She was kicked out I wasn't a fan of Cherri Bomb when they were a band because I didn't really listen to that kind of music then and I'm definitely not that big of a fan of Hey Violet, but I imagine those "differences" were because of the other girls being jealous of the attention Julia was gaining I personally prefer Julia's voice to Rena's, however, and that's just my opinion

They were jealous. Rena wanted solos and Nia sided with her sister. I don't know about Miranda though. I guess that is just what happens when you start a band with people who saw the flyers.

+Serenity Clifford Yeah it's hard to know where Miranda stood. If you look at old interviews, you will see she was the only one in the band that idolized boy bands. So she was probably for a change of style but she probably didn't realize that Rena was going to be the lead in every song with Julia out. Miranda had something to gain and to lose either way, in the end it was probably just survival since Rena and Nia obviously were going to stick together. Interesting enough, if you look at the credits, Julia wasn't a composer. She was just the talent delivering what the composer and producers put in front of her. Obviously they all liked what they were doing because on the Hey Violet album, only one of the many composers and producers involved with Cherri Bomb, stuck around for the new music direction.

Man, Cherri bomb would have been HUGE if things turned out differently. I wish Julia would have fought back when they kicked her out. Idk but if it were me I would have been like "okay, I get it you don't want to make music/be in a band with me anymore, but I founded this band, and it was my idea. You guys can leave the band, Cheri bomb is mine."

Jojo Malone but Hey Violet took all the accolades of Cherri Bomb with them, keeping the connections that introduced them to 5sos and got them signed again so easily. Julia actually had to start from scratch, with nothing she built Cherri Bomb she should've been the one to be signed easily with a new band.

Guys take a look at this though. Its sad that Julia left the band that she started, I was surprised that Miranda, Rena and Nia would do that to her. They went behind Julias back, trying to make it as though Julia left when she didn't even knew at the time. Look at 0:18, Rena has a smirk on her face as she watches Julia play her guitar, 0:27 you see Rena and Miranda both smiling at each other in a what I would call 'bitchy' kind of way (I would know since I've been through many "friends" like them), 1:44 Nia is slightly smirking while slightly looking at the camera then at 1:54 Nia looks at Miranda again with another disgusting look. Guys, I like Hey Violets music but I'm not a fan of them if you get what I am saying. Miranda and the sisters wanted to be more reachable and have more fame, so they decided to ditch Julia, and go whatever way they wanted to go (or whatever way the Music Industry and label wanted them to go) . Now they are more Pop than rock. Julia was all for Rock so I guess it was better for Julia not being with these mean girls.

Well why don't you watch some of their Warped tour shows there are lots of video's. they have two moms that are always with them not designer's and there are video's of them shopping in 2nd hand stores to buy wardrobe and Nia showing how she cuts up the shirts to get their look and if you see their home video's they are wearing the same clothes everyday !!!

I'm not saying that I hate Rena, because she was honestly my favorite. I based my style off of her, I got dreads and everything. But now she's become a completely different person because of fame. She took her dreads out because people called her racist because it's a "black style" and I guess she couldn't handle it and didn't want to deal with it. In reality black women straighten their hair and if anything that would be a "white style" it's just hair. Anyone can wear any style they want. My point is I miss Cherri bomb so much. Hey violet is okay, but Cherri bomb stood for so much. I fell in love with the fact that they all seemed so close and they were a kick ass all girl band taking on the world.
