Funny, was just working out a Wes type version of “onions” on my guitar the other day. Thirty four years ago I was walking around Chicago… came across a blues bar and noticed Booker T playing that night… strolled in and in the next couple of minutes Booker walks up to the stage wearing the coolest three button suit with matching pork pie hat and bursts into “green onions” as the opener of the night… I felt goose bumps it was so cool.

Very good lesson Jon! My only suggestion would be at the end of your video[s]. If you would play the whole song at the end of the vid, which would put it the listeners mind of how it should sound.

I have played this song for many years. Our Band covered all Of Booker T and the MG's songs. I learned Green Onions using no minor chords The Record is in Fmajor Aflat Bflat Bflat Csharp Asharp Cmajor Dsharp F Major the old 12 bar blues. Please correct me if I am wrong all these years' Thank you Jon

good lesson but can you get the camera angle from the other side? Looking at the back of the hand you can't appreciate the picking, good for the fret action. maybe a split screen with a camera on the neck and one on the picking

Jon, Very Cool Dig your stuff a lot. Chitlins is good as is Chicken Shack Perhaps you could play the entire tune first where we can just see play the entire head. The more advanced guitar player can get a lot just with that and use the tab and video to get the details. You do that on Chicken Shack and its more helpful
