Merci for this Martin. I remember when this video was first released, I was so shocked that I had been the wrong notes in parts of this head, that I immediately went back to relearning it - without actually continuing on with the video 🙄There are some great tips hear and it it so encouraging to hear you say that certain passages are difficult.

theres a note missing between Eb and Db on 7th measure, the D, i figured only when trying with a backing track and beeing unable to fit the tempo in.
@guitareimprovisation2 жыл бұрын
On the 7th bar of the head ? I don't see any group of Eb - Db note. Also, can you be specific by giving the timing of the audio in a C. Parker recording about that D note ?

why in Aflat when all the leadsheets are in Bflat?
@guitareimprovisation Жыл бұрын
Donna Lee is commonly played in Ab. Maybe you have leadsheets for "instruments in Bb" like trumpet or clarinet.

hello! how to play this tune on gypsy acoustic guitar?
@guitareimprovisation4 жыл бұрын
Well, this is tough to my point of view, because for sound and technical reasons (restrokes) you'll have to adapt and change almost all of the fingerings. I'll maybe do some video about it in the future 🙂
