I’ve seen him live many times. But once was right around the Trio/Continuum album. And gravity had become my obsession. Anyway I was at a show at the “starplex pavilion” in DFW. And he went into gravity. And he just killed it. And then he got to “keep me where the light is”. And it was like there were headlights just blaring from behind the stage. It was so epic. I’ll always remember that performance.

Great knowledge here. So much to learn and appreciate from this. So much in fact that we all most times forget to watch whats happening on stage behind the leads. If you watch the faces and reactions of the chorus girl, the bassist, the guitar, and the ... orchestrator, dont know what to call him, they all know they are witnessing greatness in the making, and those are the most trusty witnesses of whats going on on stage. What a show.

Ok, just got done watching it, man It's so nice to see someone appreciate the raw talent those two bring to the table, and shout out to Quest Love, he is such the consummate drummer, rock solid no matter what the occasion! Tell Tyler I said thank you too if he's the one that picked this. What seems like a lifetime ago, I used to play a little, was even in a band for a while and gave lessons for extra money. I think it would be good for my soul to start again, not quite there yet though. Regardless, I always find new appreciation for a song whether it's my first listen or a song near n dear to my heart. Thank you again for all you do!

Dont sell yourself short on your bends! They're like everyones voice, all are different but beautiful in their own way!
@BarrackObamna Жыл бұрын
Yeah, but I didn’t start learning guitar til I was 24 but when I started my bends sounded closest to joe Walsh, pretty harsh stabs with a quick pull and slow release. Now I can kind of copy most peoples bends, it usually is just where they like to anchor the bend at. And I’m no expert, so I don’t see why he feels stuck on that.. I’m pretty bad but I guess I’m weird in that I can copy bends almost perfect? I can’t play that well, but have been playing long enough to know when I’m in tune with the bends. I’m not a metal guy so Dimebag bends are the ones I can’t really do.
@akwamarsunzal Жыл бұрын
OH MAN! This is one of my go to tracks that I use to try and learn! Aside from the fact that Alicia has the most perfect voice, this is a beautiful, beautiful song! Sadly, as a grandpa minor pentatonic kinda guy, I love noodling over this! I normally stick with Em Pentatonic as, well, its what I know! But man, thank you for breaking this down! I have not much of an idea what you are saying with your music theory but thank you! This is going to be one video I will come back to time and time again! And, you have got another subscriber just for featuring Alicia! Thank you!
