Cool to see the guitar selection expansion. I’d still like to see you mod more “traditional“ guitars into some thrash machines! A firebird with emgs or Jazzmaster with single volume and the kill switch. Splatter the body and crackle the pickguard. Some kind of mixup. Get those haters hatin’!

Pro tip don’t put superglue or any glue at the bottom of your nut. If the nut breaks of it will tear wood fibers from the neck. Glue from the end of the fretboard. The neck will not get damaged that way and glue cleanup is easier

In the automotive world, you get fisheyes if there is armor all anywhere near. The silicone in it screws stuff up. Could be if the gun was a cheaper one that had an oily protectant for shipping too. Clean really well with lacquer thinner then alcohol

During acoustic restring I always use a side cutter(the same one I use to cut off excess string ends) and slide it under the bridge pin with force just enough to keep the pin head in it(don't crimp it!), then use my thumb as a fulcrum and let the lever do its job. You can use a screwdriver with a cloth underneath it instead of your thumb but I just don't wanna risk damaging the guitar.

I, for one, am looking forward to some more crackle and, especially, some more splatter. I have a guitar 're-finish' project finally, and will likely want one of those two finishes. Sure, they'll go out of style for a while, but then they'll be a big thing again! 🙂Right now I'm leaning towards a white base with blood splatter. As for the contest age cut off, I'd say either 15 or 17. "Kid" to me seems like 15 or younger, which "not an adult" would be 17 or younger.

Love the idea of a kid getting that king v. Me personally i would have the cut off at 16. Doing a 16 and younger give away in my eyes would be pretty cool. Nothing like inspiring younger kids to play. Your channel has inspired me with builds and rebuilds. Keep up the awesome work

I would say 18 would be a good cut off. I’m 25 so no worries lol. Also how about some ink transfer graphic finishes, and some space finishes? Maybe the northern light style stuff too

I usually glue the nut to the finger board when you have to replace the nut later it can ruin the bottom of the slot

Does your air compressor have a water extractor filter on the airline because sometimes even the slightest bit of water in the air line the paint will fish eye so it could be that

Age should be a kid old enough to know how to take care of things, and not just toss it under his bed, and old enough to know if he's interested in guitar or not. I'd say 12-16 years old is reasonable. When kids get 16-18+ , they're more interested in getting their license, and doing adult things, and the guitar will probably not get played
