Mark, you’ve coined the term “Hackson” but whenever you paint a Jackson with Crackle you don’t call it a “Crackson.” You should make the “Crackson” a thing. I also thought about “crackleson” but “Crackson” just sounds cooler.

@@GuitarGuts Looks awesome! The secret to using the spray can spraymax 2K clearcoat, Is to use two cans on one guitar. Use one entire can the first time, let it cure for three weeks. Then wet sand it, I do 800, 1500, then 3000, wipe it down and let it dry. Then do another whole can of 2K clearcoat again. Let it cure again for another three weeks weeks, wet sand it again. And the secret with wet sanding is to put a little bit of Dawn liquid in the water. Polish it and it’ll look just like a guitar you got from somebody like Kiesel or another high-end guitar company.! If you give me your email address I can send you photos of the one I just finished in purple candy over silver metallic. I was a 4 stage process, primer/sealer, silver base, purple candy, and 2k clear. BTW I am a woman. Lol!

I had the same thing happen to me with crackle (white cracks). It was not letting the base coat (1k acrylic) set long enough and the crackle paint ripped the basecoat apart and exposed the primer. Montana's recommendations are very broad and unfortunately trial and error are probably the only way to really get it right.

The crackle Kelly is a hellish beauty, I dig it ! Never been a fan of crackles back in the day but now I start appreciating them. (Btw, in your 2nd attemp to clear coat it, it looks thin, so the crackle almost makes a texture on the surface. Am I right or was it just the video?) Cheers anyways !

The crinkle comes from too thick of paint too fast. Let the base coats dry for a few days before sand , steel wool, and clear coat. A really good paint and finish takes weeks.

Love the channel but what sucks about most of the give a ways on KZbin is if your not a patron we never are entered to win on the contests and that sucks cause people like me are faithful to our favorite channels but can't afford to pay anything but supports our favs in other ways like liking every video and share the videos and watch them and comment religiously so we really are the backbone of people's channels and we don't win anything and that sucks.ive followed the giveaways and never win anything and it's so discouraging.i wish I could help support everyone but I'm doing good to support myself and I wish I could win a guitar so I could start learning again but I'm stuck watching others doing it.😭.anyway enough of my crying I love the channel bro and would love to come help you work in your shop..cheers from Tennessee and hope you guys are well and stay safe.love the Edwards axes by the way.top shelf bro🤘🤓😎🎸🎩😷

I don't think that logic applies to electric guitars since the tone is mostly in the pickups. Acoustics, I would say so though

Don't know man this crackle finish of Kelly is not that good.. cracks are to small and if you are looking form distance you don't even see that it's a crackle finish. The tremolo system doesn't fit perfectly, it has to much space and you can see the cavity inside. Not that great job on a Jackson like you are presenting..
