Love how they used that melody in multiple songs on this album and it builds up over time! The first time it's just a subtle piano, the second time it's this orchestral arrangement, then finally it peaks in Lune. Really enjoy it when albums have some kind of melody or lyric they keep returning to!

Yes! What a great concept and Just shows great musicianship

This is the song that officially sold me on distorted bass guitar in a metal mix. I'd been using bi-amps, ultra clean growl for years prior, but around the time this album came out, I bought a Dingwall bass, and was contemplating the Darkglass pedals. I heard this bass tone, and said, "f*ck, i have to spend $300 more."

oh yes, bass is juicy on this one 🤘🤘

@@alekoshred "The way the news goes" is really groovy, you'll like it! And while I'm here, you should definitely check out the "Somewhere in time" trilogy from Periphery II, you can find the three songs mixed together on youtube with that name or check out the songs separately (even though I'd suggest to put them in a single video), which are Muramasa, Ragnarok and Masamune!
@alekoshred4 жыл бұрын
@@defil1998 oooh nice idea, i haven't heard any of those three, i might just do all 3 like you suggested in one video 🤘😁

Periphery is my number one favorite band, so it's cool to see you react to so many of their songs! If you haven't already I'd recommend checking out Heavy Heart and Psychosphere from their juggernaut Alpha album, Graveless from juggernaut Omega, Mile Zero and Masamune from P2, Jetpacks was yes v 2.0 from the Icarus ep, The Summer Jam from Clear, and finally, Letter Experiment and All New Materials from P1. I might be biased since they're some of my favorite songs, but hopefully you enjoy them too 🤘🤘
@alekoshred4 жыл бұрын
i surely gotta check out something from the Alpha album, and the earlier stuff as well, will do for sure, thnx for taking the time 🤘🤘

Hell yes dude! I've been listening to Periphery again for the last few weeks as well. I always have my moments listening to a certain band for like a month, and then I'll listen to another band. I still recommend Archspire- Human Mumuration, but also since you are doing Periphery reactions can you also react to Periphery- Remain Indoors.
@alekoshred4 жыл бұрын
thnx a lot, ok noted, will react to Remain Indoors soon as well 🤘🤘and will check that other song as well for sure

I am really liking your Periphery reactions. Check out "The Way the News Goes" if you haven't heard it. But, I keep seeing that Schecter's headstock leaning against the wall. It's driving me absolutely insane. No offense, get a wall hanger, hard-shelled case, or a floor stand. You're probably doing irreparable damage to your instrument.

Loved all your Periphery reactions! They are my number one band right besides Dance Gavin Dance, give DGD a try at some point. Otherwise I'd recommend The Way the News Goes by Periphery, P3 is definitely their best album in my opinion.
