When playing the fourth fret bar cord, play the 6th fret D with your ring finger but alternate playing the 7th fret B string with your pinky and then lift off and play the 5th fret B with your middle finger, that’s what Dave does in the recording.

I tune to drop D and bar across the top 3 strings, and it’s a lot easier. Also, Foo Fighters are an amazing band. Keep posting awesome stuff!

@ I believe Hot Rails are basically humbuckers in a Single-Coil form. I think (not 100% sure) they are similar to the Lace Sensor pickups that Billy Corgan used.

@@clfnole Yes, they are indeed humbuckers, but they are sized like a single coil, which typically makes them less aggressive sounding. For instance, the Duncan JB Jr. is not the equivalent to the classic Duncan JB humbucker. The Hot Rails in this Strat are a level above most single coil sized humbuckers.

Khyle Santiago fast riff or slow riff? Slow riff comes first then fast riff if youre talking about the slow one: 0000000000300020003002200000300020003210000030002000322000030002000321. Something like that. Of course its power chords for the fretted notes, not just single notes. And as far as i can hear... Just keep a steady open E going between chords. Play along with the song and you should get it. If youre talking about the fast one... Ben Eller has a lesson on that riff
