I never really have said anything like that in a public space but I am back in the game with all of you and just take that for what it is and protect your gear at all costs. @AristotelianEpistemophilic Жыл бұрын
@@BMuscle it was their prime in sales, not in composition
@TomJakobW Жыл бұрын
@@AristotelianEpistemophilicexactly, and it was their prime in sales because on this album they absolutely *perfectly* captured what the commenter said: perfect nuance of how to build up a song. Pulls you in; very catchy, very groovy; that combined with it being less “hard and fast” and more “thick and mid-tempo”, it achieved what no other metal album achieved, you could even say it shaped popular culture in the 90s: it made Metal mainstream! They played this album up and down on radio back then. Hey, it’s not my favorite album of their’s either; i like the stuff before; but you can’t bash the writing on it. “Composition” doesn’t have to mean complexity! In some ways, this was *a* prime regarding aspects of their composition. 👍

More Metallica pls Carl. Having an updated video of Masters of Puppets/One etc. in a single upgraded video would be brilliant. I am a paying customer as I felt guilty spending 2-3 hrs most nights learning from these free videos that I'd be lost without. I've got plenty of value from your tutorials but need to make more use of them. I'm nearly two years in learning the guitar. Now that I can finally start to do most things in these Metallica videos in my own slow and crappy way, it's hard to find time for learning about technique, music theory, improvisation etc. But I will make more use of those lessons eventually. It's just so exciting finally being able to play stuff I've listened to since I was a teenager after all the hard work with scales etc. Like many others on here, I can't possibly explain how your videos have helped. Amazing!

I feel like this was a finger dexterity exercise turned into a song. Once i got over the weirdness of the riff, it really helped just with finger dexterity in general. I only started playing a little over a year ago . This would have been a great tool early on. I listen to this band rancid. And they have this song 1998, and theres this jazzy dissonace riff thats similar, sort of . They're really minimalist type bands, but that little riff did more for my playing than most things I've come across. Other than these videos, I'm self-taught, so there's probably a wealth of info I'm not privy to. Also out of the many many many guitar lessons I've watched this channel and justinguitars really have bern a huge help. You take the time to actually go over technique. It's appreciated. I'm broke, or i would donate, but again, thanks for all the help.
