I've always enjoyed any of the videos you been a part of, Ayla. The 'different levels' of how to approach certain songs series you've done really gives me something to strive for as an amateur basher. Leaving aside your undeniable musical abilities, your personality is always a star of the show. Keep on keeping on, young lady.

@snicker5768 ай бұрын
@@majortom4543 She's awesome!! Yeah, great teacher too. Really phenomenal. Not many people like this come along. Not to sound sexist, it's really not like that, but 9 times out of 10 I can tell when a female guitarist is playing by sound, has a feminine quality. Not with Ayla though, she's just a beast on guitar

Saw her with Calpurnia on Kimmel when I checked in to see Finn's band back in the day and they're boppin' along, havin' a good time, I was diggin' it and then Ayla plays a solo and IMMEDIATELY I perked up-- so interesting, fresh, musical, unique and tasteful and I was like, "damn, that guitar player is someone I want to hear more of."

Hey Ayla, I've written about ten original tunes over 50 years - it's allways been long slow and painful. But I love it that I have them and my world feels good when I strum them on my old Canora with it's beautiful tone. Your video has given me inspiration to keep workin on it. Love 'Give me a Sign.

I had to pause the video to look up "The Myth of Sisyphus". I read most of the first page from picture in the the video, so I knew that it was about philosophy and I got curious. I did not know that Sisyphus was this imaginary man who pushed the rock uphill for eternity but I knew the story. Heavy reading.

My guitar teacher! ❤🥲
@chrismaghintay7 ай бұрын
3:30 I had a question about this step. I like to record myself playing riffs without a drum track just like she did in the beginning of the video. But when it comes to adding drums, those are usually already set to a click track. So then I have to record my original riff over the click track and it loses all of its soul. Do you manually record drums to your original riff? That's the only way I could see doing this and maintaining the "humanness" of my original riff. (Or maybe I'm just not very good of a player lol 😅)
@MusoraOfficial7 ай бұрын
It can depend on your DAW, but you can manually move your drum hits to match the swing of your guitar riff. The beauty and feel of human playing are slight imperfections in our timing. If you program drums using a piano roll like Ayla does here, try slightly pulling the notes behind or ahead of the grid. Playing with this technique, you should introduce more human-like "swing" into your programmed drums.
